"I could not be happier with Greg Burz Stucco & Stone LLC. Greg brings a lot of passion, positivity and an eye for detail on the projects he works on. Further, I completely appreciated Greg’s solution-driven approach, without compromising quality with regards to the stucco project on my home. "Skyline Construction Group replaced three broken ridge tiles that had fallen from our bungalow roof due to high winds. They liaised with me by email as I was away on holiday, quoted for the work, attended promptly and cleared up perfectly. I could not be happier"

"They repaired our stucco columns and windowsills made of stucco and were great. They do a great job and completed the work with a sense of urgency as well as being smart about deciding the best timings for the job given the rainy weather. We were very happy with the final product."

"The project was done professionally and finished early. They showed up on time and worked hard through very intense hot weather. We were given great suggestions to improve the paver layout and color scheme on the steps at the most cost effective way. The project looks beautiful and is above our expectations. We would definitely use them on future projects and recommend them to other customers."

"The company replaced old front-house stucco with traditional stucco in Tudor style. They did excellent job. The team of 7 people did it in just 2 days. They follow all the rules for the traditional stucco. II was very skeptical about the brown trim made from cement, but it looks like real wood!! So beautiful job. I highly recommend them."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners can remain in their homes during stucco removal, but expect noise, dust, and limited access to certain areas. For extensive projects or if hazardous materials are present, temporary relocation may be recommended for safety and comfort. Before removal begins, seal off the work areas and use air purifiers to minimize the spread of dust.

Homeowners insurance generally won’t cover stucco damage unless it’s caused by a covered event like a storm or fire. You’ll need to pay out of pocket for damage caused by age, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or faulty installation. Consult your policy for the specifics of what stucco damage is covered and what isn’t.

If contractors discover water damage, rot, or mold beneath the stucco, additional repairs will be necessary. These repairs can increase your total project cost and timeline, but addressing them promptly is essential for your home’s structural integrity. Ignoring hidden damage can lead to more severe issues and higher costs in the future.

All of the components of stucco are non-combustible, so the siding material won’t ignite or spread fire to the interior of your home. However, it also expands and contracts with changes in temperature, so it will crack from long exposure to heat. Eventually, fire will spread through those cracks. Still, stucco is one of the best siding materials for fire protection and can keep you and your family safe for an hour, on average.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.
