"Edwardo was such a pleasure to work with. Wonderful response and customer service. Wonderful lighting suggestions and designs. My house has been transformed for the better! Fair price, doesn't try to up-sell you and was honest. I am so thrilled with the outcome and enjoyed working with Edwardo very much. I would highly recommend hiring Lighting by Design for your lighting needs."

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"great! steve and justin were great to work with! they gave a reasonable price and was very knowledgable about every aspect. They were there within days of the estimate. Justin and crew were there right on time and were polite and respectful of the home at all times. They explained every step and were efficient in their work. Lighting questions, answered by experts

Before investing in motion sensor lights, there are a couple of disadvantages worth noting. For starters, they’re not as reliable as other forms of lighting. Motion sensor lights can be accidentally triggered by pets or wind, which can become a nuisance after a while. The opposite situation can occur, too, where they don’t turn on when you need them to.

A motion detector light may need to be reset due to a number of technical issues. These can include faulty or misadjusted sensors and burned-out bulbs. You may also need to reset a motion sensor after an electrical surge or a power outage, as these can change a light’s settings and cause it to function differently.

Yes, outdoor lights and receptacles should be on a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for safety. The outdoors is considered a wet location where GFCI protection is generally required. A GFCI enhances safety by automatically tripping and shutting off the circuit if it detects an imbalance, which protects against electrocution and reduces the risk of an electrical fire. While it is the safest approach for all outdoor electrical components, specific requirements can vary depending on the type of light (e.g., pool lights), its location, and local electrical codes. For guidance tailored to your specific situation, it's best to consult a professional electrician.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.

Replacing a pool light costs about $625 per light. If you only need to replace the light bulb, plan on paying about $20 to $100 per light. The largest cost factors include the type of pool light, the number of pool lights needed, and the labor costs in your location. But additional cost factors include work required on existing wiring, other repairs, and the continual maintenance needed to keep your pool light in good working condition after installation.
