"The process was much faster than expected even with supply line delays. They were able to come in a month early and it took them a day and a half to put in 23 new windows into my house. I was skeptical about vinyl windows but I have found my home temperatures much more consistent in both hot and cold weather. One of the biggest surprises was the difference in sound between our original single pain windows and these. Our busy neighborhood is much quieter when all the windows are closed. My wife was the most critical of the vinyl look and while she still wishes she had true divided light wood windows… she is the first to admit that doing the windows were a good decision. We found them to be a good product that was more cost effective and their appearance was a great improvement on our old windows and screens. Clearly… we are very happy with the results and happy we picked Power Home remodeling."

"Diane B Neptune NJ These guys are professional and knowledgeable. I have been looking for someone for a long time to solve my frozen pipe issue. They did the the entire job with only one access hole through the garage. No sheet rock or Spackle repair. They even saved me money regarding my attic fan. I will use them again and refer them to my friends. Thanks so much!!!! I no longer have to worry about a frozen pipes bursting."

"I waited a while because they are backed up due to Covid but they were definitely worth the wait. They were precise, quick and extremely detailed. They put two windows in for me (where windows didn't exist before) and covered up a window. They insulated and everything. No painting but that was cool. I was very impressed. Definitely would recommend them and hire them again...and again....and again"

"Mr. Russomanno was prompt, returned all my calls and showed up when he said he would. He did an outstanding job repairing my sons' bathroom. The tile work he completed looks good, the ceiling was repaired (it was cracked and had mold), the walls were spackled & painted and the pricing was fair. Very good experience."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

You should avoid multi-surface cleaners, bleach, and any cloth or scrubbing material that has a rough surface when cleaning mirrors. Multi-surface cleaners and bleach will get smudges and debris off of the glass, but they more often leave behind cleaner residue because they don’t evaporate like a glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Additionally, any abrasive material or even the scrubbing side of a sponge can scratch your glass or coatings on the glass, gradually making the mirror look hazy.

Rubbing alcohol on its own will not remove scratches from glass. You can, however, combine rubbing alcohol with baking soda—in a one-to-one mixed ratio—to create a paste that will help get minor scratches out of glass.

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

The best (and safest) glass for glass walls is tempered and laminated glass. These types of glasses work well for walls because they are durable against impact and heat.

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.
