"Nick provided a top-to-bottom, end-to-end renovation/upgrade to a two bedroom apartment for sale including the full bathroom from floors to walls to shower and sink faucets, vanities, mirror and medicine cabinet demo and installation, repaired/filled holes and painted - basically everything other than the tub replacement so that it was a brand new, spotless room. He continued this effort and workmanship in every room and demoed and installed all new pergo flooring for the open floor plan kitchen and living room and bedrooms, landings as well as new stairs replacing dated laminate and carpeting. The kitchen cabinets, countertops, faucet, etc. were completely updated and made the most of the space while being designed in way to fit an over the stove microwave in the future. Future designs were factored into the cabinet layout/installation. He repaired/filled large holes in walls, ceilings, doors left during a move-out and painted the entire apartment to make it fresh and updated where you couldn’t notice the holes anymore. Incorporated all the finishing touches that a realtor identified to complete the renovation. Constantly receive compliments on the impressive finished product of our newly renovated apartment that is ready to move in."

"Everyone at Kitchen Magic was professional and extremely helpful throughout the entire refacing process. The sales rep recommended adding elements that made the design even more functional and attractive. Ziggy performed the work and did an amazing job! He was on time every day and left my kitchen clean and neat every night. He has an incredible eye for detail and did flawless work. One of the cabinet doors came nicked. Kitchen Magic quickly sent a replacement door and another installer out to hang it for me. Overall, it was a stress-free process, and I’m very pleased with how my cabinets look now."

"A truly amazing contracting company! My 90-year young grandmother had a tremendous leak under her Mobile Home bathroom floor that had gone unnoticed until her floor started to buckle, and the water began soaking through the floor. APEX Contracting came out that same night to Mitigate the issues and begin Emergency services. Not only did they complete the mitigation work within days they also handled my grandmother's insurance claim and got her FULL coverage for her claim and repairs! It took only a few weeks for the APEX crew to rebuild a new beautiful bathroom with custom tiled shower, adjoining utility room completely gutted and re-tiled and painted, and gut and replacement of floor and carpeting throughout the attached hallway/living room/dining room area. The crew on a daily basis kept my grandmother abreast of any areas that may be trip hazards and were kind and respectful on a daily basis. We would highly recommend APEX to all!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

A peeling bathtub is not a good thing. It’s a sign that the finish is coming off, and continued exposure to water and cleaning products can continue to damage the finish and eventually the underlying structure of the tub. What starts as a few chips or flakes can worsen into large chunks peeling off.

Acrylic tubs are extremely durable and rarely chip or crack. Even when frequently used, tubs made with this material are largely resistant to damage. However, damage may occur as the tub ages. They can also crack from damage from heavy objects and cleaners or a lack of support.

If your tub is attached to the wall, the best material will be one that can be shaped to fit your space perfectly. A cast-polymer, acrylic, or fiberglass tub will likely be the easiest to install as a built-in because it can be designed to fit your space.

Installing a drop-in tub yourself is possible, especially if you’re replacing your existing tub with a new one of the same size. If you’re replacing a different type of tub, you’ll need to build the structure to hold the new drop-in tub and finish the exposed sides. The structure must be sturdy enough to hold the tub when it’s filled with water, and you’ll need to seal it. If any plumbing work is required, it’s best to call a licensed plumber who installs bathtubs.

Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options
