You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.

A roller makes an excellent paint tool for brick. Using a roller can ensure the entire surface area gets painted evenly. If you choose a roller for painting brick, go for a thicker option, at least a half-inch. The key to using a roller while painting brick is making sure paint gets into the various crevices for even coverage.

Yes, you can paint a chain-link fence, but you don’t want to use spray paint. With the spray method, you’ll be losing a majority of your product to the air, given the size of the gaps in chain-link fences. Instead, use a paintbrush for your fence posts and a paint roller for the wire.
