"George and Alex went out of their way to be flexible, professional and customer oriented.  They worked around my schedule and were able to complete my project in a timely manner.  They always showed up on time and made sure the house was cleaner than they left it.  George took the time to consult with us on our wants and needs and didn't try to tack on unnecessary extras.  They made sure to design the layout of the new lights for maximum appeal.

"Everything turned out fine. When it first arrived, it was damaged in the shipping. It took them quite a while to get something back to us, or even to call me back when I wrote to them. But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."

"George was responsive and direct.  He is busy so we waited a month for our appointment but that is to be expected and was not a problem.

Installed LED fans and left "regular" switches from old fans instructing us to change them to LED compatible.  After several visits from electricians and visits to lighting stores we learned that regardless of the switches, these fans could not be put on a dimmer, made a loud humming sound, gave off an ugly green/yellow dim light and the fan only worked at one speed - we needed new fans.

With the help and guidance (and expense) of another electrician, we purchased new fans and switches that are PERFECT and I am so happy with them.  If we had just left the original work, I really was beginning to hate the upstairs of my home..."

"It was an excellent experience overall. Chuck and Smitty were very professional and worked around my personal items, packing boxes, and furniture - covering everything before starting work each day. The results were amazing - the place looks great. He also painted some cabinets for me to show them off, along with my fireplace mantle.
Chuck has an excellent eye for colors and along with my designer helped to steer me in right directions.
Both Chuck and Smitty were very reliable and treated my home with great care while they were there. Their paints were off in a corner on a tarp at the end of each day, and the work areas were clean. They had a key for the duration of the project (between 2 and 3 weeks to get everything done, including some areas that had to be re-touched after some electrical fixtures were swapped out, etc).
Smitty has a real nice touch with the rollers. The walls look great.
Chuck is a terrific guy, with a very interesting life story. I enjoyed having him in my home and talking with him as he painted and I packed on some of the days, or at the end of the day as we crossed paths when I came home from work.
I enthusiastically recommend Chuck. The results are great!"

"After our in person meeting/measurement session, Sara put together two good designs and then listened to us to build a hybrid of the two designs that we think will work really well. Quick turnaround, and the visit to the Kitchen Center was worth the trek. Payment for our design will be a down payment on cabinetry."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional landscape lighting is typically worth the investment. Installing a lighting system can improve your home’s curb appeal, safety, and security, and it can also deter burglars. It adds value to your home by creating a brightly-lit outdoor space you can use after dark and making the property more appealing to potential buyers. According to the National Association of Realtors, landscape lighting can add up to $2,500 to your home’s value, and on average, this type of home improvement has a 50% return on investment.

Outdoor lighting repairs typically take between 1-3 hours. The exact duration can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the ease of access to the lighting fixtures and wiring.

Before investing in motion sensor lights, there are a couple of disadvantages worth noting. For starters, they’re not as reliable as other forms of lighting. Motion sensor lights can be accidentally triggered by pets or wind, which can become a nuisance after a while. The opposite situation can occur, too, where they don’t turn on when you need them to.

It’s fair to be concerned about handling pool lights or wiring in a pool filled with water. But fortunately, pool lights and swimming pools are designed to make it easy and safe to replace the lights without needing to drain the water. Instead, you can turn off the electricity to the pool as a safety precaution, unscrew the pool fixture, pull it up and out to the side of the pool, then change the bulb.

Inspect for burnt-out bulbs, secure connections, and protect from water exposure to maintain functionality.
