"We needed an outside wall replaced due to rot. JC responded to our inquiry quickly and was able to put us in the schedule quickly. They did a fantastic job replacing the wall, installing a sliding glass door and new windows. In addition, the living room was painted an a gutter was installed surrounding our deck. Communication was great. I would highly recommend them."

"We had interviewed , about 8 companies, some were personable, others were not, some were informative, others tried to sound like they belonged in this industry. Tim came with one of his employees, it was at the end of the day , they poured earlier, and Tim looked like he rolled around on the color;) He was really funny, and kind, and patient, even after a clearly long day, he did not rush us, he answered questions, that others couldn't. This told my husband and I that if he was willing to walk us through the process after a long day, and answer questions, we were probably going to hire him. A pool deck/ and a patio on the side of our sunroom, Tim asked who the pool company was, he said , "wait 6 months".. He is incredible and thankfully we listened. The jobs are perfect!! Tim has a respectable crew, and they all work so hard! We Highly Recommend"

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.

If you've decided you'd like to skip the cost of restoring a brick exterior wall after considering whether you should repair or replace brick on your house, you can consider installing fiber cement siding over brick for a cost of $2 to $6 per square foot. When done properly, cement siding over brick offers a durable, low-maintenance option that can actually reduce your home's energy costs. It's also attractive. However, improper installation or installation over heavily compromised brick can cause water damage.

There are contractors specifically trained in the design and construction of retaining walls. Retaining wall contractors are skilled at dealing with the soil on your property and assessing what kind of drainage should be installed. They will recommend the best materials to use for the project and can handle the processing of permits by local authorities.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.
