"The removal of a 50' pine tree went very, very well. Service was prompt, efficient and professional. The owner and his helper were very courteous and did an outstanding job including the stump grinding and cleanup. I would highly recommend!"

"Bart, was great to work with! He was always fantastic with communication and we never had to worry about the job getting done. When it did snow this year (barely) we always came to a cleared lot and salt laid down. Highly recommend working with them. You wonâ t be disappointed!"

"Came and gave bid on the Sunday before Labor Day and completed job promptly by Wednesday. I had huge Maple tree in back yard that was difficult to get to and did a good job at a very reasonable price."

"I hired Trent to take care of debris removal from a large scale job I had done on my shop. The items were large and needed equipment, but unfortunately were in very tight quarters. He brought out all the right equipment, and in a very skilled, and professional manner, removed everything, and thoroughly cleaned up the work site once he was finished. Thank you to T-Max construction for your help!!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Natural ice melts can often get the job done without damaging concrete. You can try non-corrosive options such as kitty litter, alfalfa meal, coffee grounds, sugar beet juice, and heated snow-melting mats. While they may cause some staining, these natural melts are safe for concrete, pets, and the environment.

While it’s less common than on other kinds of roofs, yes, ice dams can form on metal roofs. Metal roofs, particularly those with snow guards installed, can still accumulate ice at the roof edge, although ice dams on metal roofs are less likely to cause roof or interior damage than on traditional asphalt shingle roofs.

While most people associate defrosting icy roads with salt, you can also use sugar for a similar result. Sugar lowers the freezing point of water, melting ice in a pinch.

However, sugar doesn’t melt ice as well as salt because it doesn’t separate the water molecules as efficiently. So, if you need to quickly melt a stubborn patch of ice on your driveway or walkway, it’s best to use salt over sugar for faster results.

It’s the reverse of home de-winterization. To winterize, you purge your plumbing system (including your water heater and all piping) of water. Some experts also recommend filling fixtures with an antifreeze solution. Other tasks involve winterizing sprinklers, sealing foundation vents, check weatherproofing around doors and windows, and more.

Generally, the cost of ice dam removal is not covered by homeowners insurance because it is often considered preventable maintenance. However, the damage caused by ice dams is frequently covered. Depending on your policy, this can include interior water damage, roof collapses, and damage to shingles. Coverage for personal belongings affected by leaks may vary. It is important to check your policy details or contact your insurer to confirm what your plan covers. Keep in mind that any damage resulting from a DIY attempt to remove an ice dam will likely not be covered.
