Thrasher has hands down been the best company I have ever hired. From the very first day I called them, they were the most professional, polite, and honest people I have ever seen. When Trevor came out to see what needed to be done (a leaking egress window, which was improperly installed by another company, Thrasher was there to fix their mistakes) he gave the most in-depth analysis of what the problem was I have ever seen. I had two other companies come and look at the same problem, one of which did not even go into the basement and gave me a cookie cutter answer. After Trevor told me what the problem was, he went in-depth on how they would fix it. He had brought a laptop in that showed me the exact products they would be installing, how it was installed, cost and everything in the most professional way I have ever seen, and this was on the spot! "iWe asked a few different companies for estimates.   P&R was by far the lowest bid.   The job required cutting  out tree roots, removing an old section of driveway that we no longer wanted, and replacing a walkway to the house including an old concrete drainage pan.   The initial work went well.   The Owner was there every day at several times during the day. The team worked well together and were very respectful of the proximity to the house.  After the concrete was set and the owner came to inspect and remove the forms, he 1) cleaned up some broken glass that the crew had left behind (broken while removing an old lamp post).  I was unhappy about the glass being left  but without even mentioning it, the owner cleaned it up himself.  2) The owner was not satisfied  with the way the concrete was slopping from the new drainage pan.  He ran water and measured and measured.   None of this was asked by us for him to do but we're so grateful for his thoroughness. The owner is a perfectionist and decided that he'd like to pull up a section of the concrete that was laid and redo it for 100% certainty that we'd never have a drainage issue.  He had the crew re-do that small portion and oversaw the entire thing.  Also there were a minor miscommunication for how much concrete we wanted removed in a different section of the yard. When the asked us at the end of the day if we were satisfied with the removal, I told him that we didn't want the pad outside of the door to the garage to stay but were okay with him leaving it since we were not clear that it should be removed.  He brought the guys out and removed it for us when they came back with the fill dirt.   
I hope you aren't as high maintenance as we turned out to be!!

Cons
none really other than 1) concrete work is stupid expensive.  They call concrete "white gold" because the concrete itself, independent of labour, is really expensive by itself.  We really wanted the whole driveway done but no way!!! P&R came out to give a smaller section estimate once we realized that (after checking with three companies) that we couldn't afford to have the whole thing done right now (we just bought the house that month).

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
