Thank you for considering our company for your home inspection needs. Choosing the right company can be difficult. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the company's and the individual inspector's qualifications and effort. A professional home inspection is a valuable investment. Having this information before you purchase, sell, repair or remodel can return many dividends, both financial and emotional. At On Target Home Inspections, we understand the stress and burden that can sometimes come with purchasing a new home. Our mission is to protect our clients interests both financially and emotionally. Our job is to ensure that the home you buy will not leave you with buyer's remorse as you are stuck with the bill for repairs on any of the many expensive systems and components that are present in every home. We want you to feel free to contact us with any questions before during and after the inspection takes place. Allow us to help relieve your stress and fears during this very important time in your life. Our Inspectors have a unique knowledge working in the construction and property management industry and we use that experience to your advantage! Structural Engineering questions, answered by experts

Precast concrete can be reinforced with rebar, wire mesh, or other materials to improve its strength and add stability. Precast concrete for large construction projects is often pre-stressed as well for greater structural strength. Reinforced concrete is durable and strong, making it an ideal choice for many construction projects.

No, it’s not legal for unlicensed individuals to conduct structural calculations for buildings or building repairs. Not only do licensing requirements prevent DIYers from tackling this project, but mistakes can also be extremely dangerous and put your property and anyone inside or near it at risk of severe injury or even death. You should always hire a licensed and certified local structural engineer to make structural calculations.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.

The depth of any foundation style depends on your climate and how deep the frost line is, as building code requires that the footers of a foundation—which are built into a monolithic slab—sit at least a foot below the frost line. At the southern tip of Florida, for example, a monolithic slab foundation would only need to sit 12 inches under the soil at the widest parts. On some parts of the Canadian border, the frost line is 100 inches, which would mean a minimum of 112 inches, which is prohibitively deep for a monolithic slab.

The essential difference between an architect and an engineer is that architects typically focus more on the aesthetic design of buildings, although not without consideration for the structural integrity of the building. Engineers focus more on the structural, technical, and practical aspects of whether and how an architectural design can be built as drawn. You may need to hire both types of professionals if you’re designing and building a new home.
