Customers say: Quick response

"Kyle Dirk and his crew did a fantastic job. Kyle was front and center from start to finish on our job. He is great to work with and him and his crew were able to finish the job so fast. Once they show up on scene, they didnt stop until it was completed. He was true to his pricing, no extra fees or charges. Overall I would highly recommend Kyle and his company to anyone with any kind of concrete needs."

"They did great. The entire surface was level and free from tripping hazards. It is important to have them seal the cracks because there will be water from snow melt and the concrete will move. This will get you the 5 yr warrantee just in case."

"Contacted King concrete on Friday, they looked at the job on Saturday, did the work on Monday. Very professional and courteous. They made sure they understood what i wanted done, (it wasn’t a standard concrete job) and offered suggestions. It was a small job, 3 yards of cement and most contractors would not bid the work."

Patios questions, answered by experts

If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

An Arizona room may or may not count toward your home’s square footage, depending on local regulations and the specifics of the room, but generally does not get included in the total square footage. In many locations, a room needs to be built to the same quality as the rest of the home, have an integrated heating/cooling system, and be habitable year-round to count toward square footage.

Whether it's better to add a sunroom or a regular room to your home depends on your goals. If you need extra bedrooms, building rooms with four standard walls makes more sense than adding a sunroom. If you don't need extra sleeping areas but would like to expand the living space of your home, a sunroom makes sense.

A covered deck can be a good investment that increases your home value—especially if you live in a hot region with a lot of sun. A covering over the deck means you can get more use out of it, even on the hottest summer days. With a permanent deck covering, you can even add ceiling fans to help cool down your deck for added comfort.
