"Josh started a large home project for us since I have not had the time to do it. Said he would remove the popcorn ceiling in 2 rooms and make ceilings look as nice as the living room that we did. They did not turn out professionally at all. We will need to redo all the ceilings he painted too. Many spots showing up and imperfections he said he would fix are not holding up. He did not finish 3 closets that he was supposed to paint too. I would not recommend him for anything but basic painting. He even spray painted over our shelving racks and ironing board in our walk in closet. Had to redo all of that. The fans in the bedrooms where the popcorn was removed were left filthy. Baseboards left with ceiling mud. Some baseboard edges broken. Too many messy paint lines to mention. Proof in the pictures."

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

Luxury vinyl flooring is the best for pet owners, as it holds up well against scratches and accidents. Non-slip stone or porcelain tile are great options as well. Each of these also provide a less slippery surface for pups that like to run around.

As for the flooring options to avoid, these are hardwood, laminate, and carpeting. Claws can scratch hardwood and tear up carpeting. On top of that, removing dog urine from hardwood floors can be difficult; likewise with carpeting. Laminate holds up much better, but it’s super slippery (especially for dogs).

Hardwood floors can be installed in most areas of the home, including living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways. However, with the exception of high-quality bamboo and engineered wood, hardwood floors are not recommended for areas with high moisture levels, such as bathrooms and basements, unless specifically designed for such environments. It's essential to consider the specific conditions of each room before choosing hardwood flooring.
