"Our 12x40 foot outbuilding was in sorry shape. The roof was leaking, the outside walls were crumbling, and the doors had been destroyed in a series of storms. This company contacted us right away with a competitive quote and start date. The crew were skilled artisans who arrived on time and completed each stage of the job efficiently. The crew removed and replaced the old siding, reinforced the loft area opening up the floor space below, replaced the doors (including a custom top/bottom split Dutch style side door), and painted the exterior. We were so impressed by the work that we obtained a quote to have our covered patio painted, which required the grinding of exposed mail tips. The work began on Wednesday and both jobs were completed by Saturday. Never have I been so impressed by the quality and efficiency of a job. I would and will hire them for future jobs."

"Jason and his crew did an amazing job on our house. It is an older home that had not been repainted in about 20 years, so there was a lot of scraping and prep work to be done. They worked diligently to get the house ready for the final painting. They took pride in the job they did as if it was their own house. They were prompt each morning and worked diligently every day. We were very comfortable with the entire crew and found them to be receptive and attentive to any questions or changes we had. They were easy going and were very easy to work with. When we get to the point of repainting the inside of our house we will be contacting them as we trusted them whole heartedly. We would highly recommend their painting service."

"I only use James when I need some work done to my house. He responds fast, gets the work done quicker than just about anyone else I've ever used and seems very concerned with leaving his customers happy."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

While your stucco repair professional can diagnose exactly what needs repair, it can be helpful to know what to look out for in the early stages to avoid significant reconstruction. Some common stucco repairs include:

  • Cracks

  • Holes

  • Ceiling repair

  • Chimney repair

  • Stucco removal

  • Discoloration

  • Caulking

  • Water damage

  • Foundation repair

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

The best tape that works on stucco is the kind made explicitly for stucco surfaces. Look for tape that specifies stucco, masonry, or cement installations. The adhesive usually needs to be thicker and more durable to remain stuck to these rough surfaces.
