"Paid $100 for $300 worth of work. The owner came out and we agreed on a further $300 to do the soffit. His carpenter came out later that week to do the work and requested a check for $400 at the end of the day. I balked and he tried calling the owner that evening with no answer. So I ended up paying $100 more than expected just to get the carpenter out of my driveway without ever ever getting an invoice. I'm used to professionals invoicing for their work and the owner never set the expectation that I'd be paying without getting an invoice, and I'm certainly disappointed with the price change without consulting me. At the end of the day it was $700 for a carpenter for a day. Maybe that's a normal price, maybe it's not, but I would have preferred to have had a choice about the price change and an invoice."

Whenever I had questions, they immediately had answers even if I thought they were ridiculous, they never made me feel like I didnt know anything. They were very prompt with job timing and kept me informed through the whole process. They would not leave the job until I came out and they made sure I was 100% satisfied.
