"After several calls back and forth concerning diagnosis and estimate of the job. The calls dropped off because of scheduling and I never got the estimate. I thought they were reputable, friendly and really don't know what happened. I would try to connect with them again in the future and see if we could close the deal."

"Excellent! I received 3 quotes from electricians to install recessed lighting in my home. Manny was 1/4 the cost. I was sceptical to go with the cheapest of the three especially being so much less but I'm very happy I hired Manny for the job. He was on time, courteous, professional, and did exactly what I wanted. I will hire again."

"Ezzell plumbing is the best! Knowledge, nice, trustworthy, 100% customer service. Came out to fix a plumbing issue during the peak of the Christmas season. Never been disappointed with any of their work. I highly recommend them!"

"Have used the business twice so far with excellent results both times. Patched drywall and painted the den as well as plumbing repairs in master bathroom and replace faucet in 2nd bathroom. I will definitely hire this company again."

"The owner Michael came out to see the proposed project. He told us exactly what work was involved. He sent out his worker, John who was extremely professional. He took great care in covering the floors and stairs he would be walking on. He created very little mess in his work area and was protective of areas outside of his work area. He was here two days and both days he worked constantly. When he was finished, he reviewed his work with us and it was exactly as we expected."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

You definitely can over-tighten toilet tank bolts. Unlike some other materials, porcelain can’t bend or flex, so when you over-tighten a screw into it, it could break against the added pressure. Only tighten them as much as needed to keep them in place and firm; any more and you could risk breaking the porcelain.

The first step to clearing the air in a line is to locate the cause. This is usually a blockage in either the drain or the venting system. Once you clear the issue, flush the system by actually flushing the toilets repeatedly. This should allow the trapped air to escape, thus clearing the lines. Don’t be surprised if there is increased bubbling as the air makes its way through the system.

The cost of making a bathroom accessible can be $3,000 to $25,000, but you could spend as much as $50,000 building a brand-new ADA-compliant bathroom. Some bathroom accessibility upgrades to consider include:

  • Installing grab bars: $100–$500

  • Lowering cabinets and vanities: $1,200–$2,500

  • Installing modified doors: $700–$1,500

  • Installing a modified toilet: $400–$1,000

  • Installing an accessible sink and faucet: $100–$1,000

  • Adding a walk-in tub: $1,100–$17,000

  • Converting a bathtub into a walk-in tub: $350–$1,000

  • Installing a wheelchair-accessible shower: $2,000–$7,500

  • Installing a shower ramp: $16–$300

Installation typically takes 1-2 hours. Repairs may require additional time, depending on the issue.

The most practical and common setup is a toilet that connects with the sewer line or a septic tank. However, it is possible to install a toilet without a sewer line, and this can be particularly helpful in basements with no or outdated plumbing. An increasingly popular option is an environmentally friendly composting toilet. Other waterless options include incinerating or dry flush toilets, which pull the waste into an airtight container.
