"Had an ok experience with this moving company. Make sure you ask a lot of questions and plan to supervise/direct (which partially defeats the purpose of paying movers). The young men that came to help were extremely polite. I knew the job would be quick, I have a small one bd apartment. They were there for an hour and 20 minutes. I helped and I paid for a 3 hour minimum. With tip that was $350 When they had â finishedâ , they told me 20% of my belongings wouldnâ t fit. I knew that was incorrect because I came here in the same size container with more pieces of furniture. They left and I had to spend 2 hours unpacking and repacking the container myself in 80° and 68% humidity. Everything fit. ð The owner apologized when I told him, but I feel like I overpaid for what I received. Given they did move the items downstairs, I feel like half would have been reasonable due to the need to repack. I received an apology, but no refund. Pros: *Was able to schedule with a weekâ s notice *Polite *Quick *Generally reasonably priced (if the job had been completed ) Cons: *Was originally scheduled for Wed 6/5 but was rescheduled at 3pm on 6/4 for â bigger jobsâ . *I had to be flexible after agreeing on a date *Close supervision and direction is required. *Didnâ t listen to me when I asked them to load heavy furniture a specific way instead putting it on its side risking damage and decreasing surface area for other items *Inefficient use of space resulting in me having to repack. *Pricey for my actual experience *Not clear on how to move using shipping pods/uhaul containers *Didnâ t pack everything"

While a rented dumpster can handle a wide variety of materials, there are significant restrictions on what is allowed. Generally, you can dispose of most non-hazardous household junk, yard waste, and construction debris.

Accepted items typically include:

  • Furniture, carpets, old linens, and toys

  • Wood and yard debris

  • Small appliances and excess trash

  • Renovation waste like old finishes, building debris, and roofing materials (unless they contain lead paint or asbestos)

However, you cannot put toxic, flammable, or hazardous materials in a dumpster. Prohibited items almost always include:

  • Paint, gasoline, oil, and other fuels

  • Household cleaners and other chemicals

  • Electronics, batteries, and tires

  • Refrigerators, hot water tanks, and medical waste

Since regulations can vary by location and company, it is essential to check with your dumpster rental provider for their specific list of accepted and prohibited items before you begin.

Policies vary on what you can throw in a dumpster rental. Some companies will accept large appliances, although you may need to take steps to prepare the washer and dryer for disposal. Some companies don’t allow large appliances in their dumpsters at all, so it’s best to ask the rental company beforehand to find out what its policy is.

Ensure bins are accessible and follow guidelines for separating recyclables and hazardous materials.

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.

No, you can’t throw your trash in any dumpster you come across—in fact, that’s considered illegal dumping, and you could be fined for it. Use your own household trash cans, and rent a dumpster for a large volume of waste. Alternatively, take it to the landfill yourself or hire a trash hauling service.
