"we had decided to completely change the vibe of our home with this redecoration project. Our vision involved difficult paint applications for most areas. For trim work, we chose to use ultra high gloss white, contrasted with ultra high gloss black on doors and banisters. Anyone that has done any painting knows that working with high gloss oil based paints adds a significant level of difficulty. All that bing said...these guys did an amazing job. Every edge is clean, and every surface smooth. The bannister has a finish comparable to a Steinway piano. Made all the more difficult was the contrasting white balusters. Aker did all of the faux painting himself, while directing and QC'ing the general crews work. Aker is an artist. He listened to us, and using pictures we supplied, transformed our cabinetry into focal points in our home.. For such a large job, we vetted several highly rated Angie's providers. They not only were very competitive, but provided excellent line item quotes, that allowed us to make changes on the fly, with complete pricing transparency.. The only small negative, was that the time needed to complete the project took several days longer than originally estimated..this was in no way, caused by a lack of manpower, or not working some days to concentrate on other jobs. In most cases, Aker deemed specific areas as not up to his standards, and he directed several re-dos, none of which were at our expense. There are lots of painting jobs, where price between qualified vendors determines choice, but for large complex work, where detail and craftsmanship are needed, I cannot image anyone better than Aker, and Blue Crew."

"Well, I had the sudden bright idea of trying to completely renovate my daughter's room for her birthday with less than two weeks before she came home from being out of town. I found Jules on Angie's List, and everyone was so happy with her work, I gave her a call. From the very beginning to the end, she worked tirelessly with her team (Rick Hutchison and his associate Kevin) to bring the vision I had to life with no time to spare. I really can't believe they were able to do this. The dedication and QUALITY of the work that was done was incredible. Jules went to every corner of town and beyond to find and acquire each individual piece for the room. In addition, the room was a blend of many different ideas and styles, so Jules had to think outside the box and go in many different directions with only enthusiasm and a smile on her face. She was incredibly thorough in keeping track of receipts and invoices (much moreso than I!) , and was very careful to try and find each item within the budget we had. For example, we were willing to pay more for a special allergy free bed than a decorative desk, and Jules was able to balance the costs so we had exactly what we wanted.
When work became a bit more involved due to a structural issue with our windows, Rick and Jules worked into the weekend to insure the project was completed in time for the surprise. My daughter was completely speechless when she saw her room, and tells me almost every day how much she loves it. Her friends love the whole feel and atmosphere (Which is kind of woodsy and starry with brown branch twinkle lights woven through the room but grown up enough with the stylized furniture. Jules helped me bring my thoughts of a starry sky into the room with a warm purple ceiling painted with an overlay of subtle glitter. It's gorgeous.) I literally have only amazement for the job that was done.

"From the start Mike was very professional and pleasant when he came to give us an estimate for painting the outside soffit around the whole house outside, porch railings, pickets and stairs. When we decided to have him do the job, as his price was reasonable for the work wanted, we called and he stated he would send a contract and have the work done by 10-30-14, which was 2 weeks away and would take 1 1/2 days to complete. He called on 10-21-14 and stated he would be at the house on 10-23-14. All the work was done and it looks terrific. There was no mess to clean up, they did it all.  We are very happy with his work and would highly recommend him and have him do any future painting needed at our home.
