"I hired Todd to do some Concrete Leveling at my 68 year old home. The cement on my porch had sunk noticeably which had me concerned. Todd did a very good job at a reasonable price. He was very thorough and conscientious. I would highly recommend him for anyone who needs that type of work done."

"I contact a least 9 foundation companies looking for the right one for us. AquaDry offered the best solution at a reasonable price. Jim Boyd took the time and explained/showed us what they were going to do. Their crew came out and installed 7 push piers. This raised and stabilized the corner of our two story home. They were great all the way through the process. I highly recommend them."

"A perfect job done by Jose and the team at D&G. They were the 4th contractor that I had called and each of the previous contractors couldn't give me a day, much less a time, to come out for an estimate, just that they would call when they had time to come out. I called D&G at 4pm and Jose was at my house before 8am the next day. The quote was spot on to what I expected, perhaps even a bit less, considering they were so accommodating on the schedule. I called the others and told them not to bother coming out. They had a crew of 4 of the hardest working guys I've seen come out on the first day to tear out an existing concrete pad and prepare the ground and forms for the concrete. The next day, the truck was here before 8am and they were done and cleaned up and on the way home mid-afternoon, after pouring and shaping a 12x36 pad. I could not be happier with the service these folks offered and recommend them fully. I know that the next time I need concrete work done, I won't bother with anyone else."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before starting the project.

Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.
