"Glenn responded quickly to my emails, worked with my schedule and did wonderful work.  There were some problems with some old wallpaper borders and he called to let me know and offered pictures.  I gladly paid him for some extra time knowing he would get it off the walls and my project done on time!"

"We had our entire new 3k+ square ft home’s interior, including trim painted and it turned out fantastic! Martha, Tony and crew were exceptional. Not only was the ease of doing business, the cost of the project, and professionalism all great but the quality and meticulousness was over the top. They did so good that we kept them on to do all of the cabinets in our home. They also removed some built-in furniture and repaired the trim etc as well as fixed some ceiling damage caused by our movers. It all looks brand new. We couldn’t be happier with AMC and will definitely employ them again and recommend them for sure."

"ABX Contracting is very professional, prompt and professional.  After purchasing their deal, I was contacted within the same day.  I advised Chris of the job I needed to have done and he clearly explained my options. I chose to have 2 guys for 2 hours (since it possibly required removing fence posts and sections).  ABX Contracting arrived approximately 10 minutes before the start time, items were purchased within budget for the project and completed within the 2 hour time frame.  My fence is sturdier than before, the job was a success and the guys were wonderful.

"Estimator came to the house after hours to talk with us, get measurements and take pictures. A day or two later we got an estimate emailed to us. Once I replied that the estimate worked for us we set a date one week out. We received information telling us when the carpenter would be at the house. The carpenter showed up on time and did the work within one day. Left a clean area.

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

White walls are considered a classic and timeless look and will most likely always be in style. A white wall easily blends into any type of home decor style which makes it a suitable option for most homeowners. Another appealing quality about white walls is that if it's not a color someone is going for, the color is easy to paint over.

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.

Removing a wallpaper border requires the same process to remove full walls of wallpaper. Clear the area, spray down the surface with your hot water and vinegar solution or store-bought spray, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then scrape it off with a putty knife. Sometimes, border wallpaper lifts easier than larger sheets, so you can just peel it right off the wall by hand.
