The damaged subflooring replacement went quite well (an A Rating on this). The faucet installation was also okay, but the rest of our experience with Mr. Saunders was not very satisfactory. He frequently stopped work on our project to tend to other ones. That is not unusual up here, but I almost always had to call him before he would come back, which led to about two months of living with our furniture displaced. Another problem was that his assistant cracked the new light covering. Mr. Saunders did offer to replace it, but by that time there had been so many delays, I told him not to bother since it was not all that noticeable.
Mr. Saunders also lost professionalism points with me because he constantly complained about things, such as the amount of dust he found under the old carpeting and the number of staples used in the subflooring of our manufactured home. Then after telling us we had to be extra careful about cleaning up the dust or the vinyl would not lay properly, he and his assistant did not remove the staples and did a sloppy job of leveling the subflooring before laying down the vinyl. Again, as with the light cover, I just decided to give up and get him out of our home.
"I called Clegg's and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. JJ came out as scheduled and gave me an estimate for termite treatment and yard spray for mosquitos (rated separately). The estimate paperwork was pretty straightforward, but I had to verify the fuzzy carbon copied information on my copy. I was surprised that there was no guarantee to pay for future damage like other companies claimed, just a promise of retreatment if I kept up the annual fee - at least I learned that up front. After negotiating the price and what would be included, he had me document my request via email, including the agreed final price, so he could go ahead and have the termite team set up a time at my convenience. They were very accommodating about my work schedule. The two man team came out close to the appointment time, did a thorough job of drilling, trenching and infusing the Termidor pesticide (fipronil) for about 3.5 hours. They made sure the drilled holes were as inconspicuous as possible along the foundation and inside the garage. They quit promptly at 5:00PM with part of the house remaining, but luckily I had time off work the next day. The team came back for another hour (one different man) and finished the infusing of the holes, sealed every one with cement and cleaned up very nicely. The team steadily worked hard and got the job done. Other than the necessary hundreds of filled holes needed to get the pesticide under the slab, the house base looked clean and neat. As far as the billing, I thought I would get a bill in the mail, but was called while at a family event to immediately pay the bill in full with my credit card over the phone. I didn't mind paying quickly, but didn't know that would be the process. That would be good to understand up front. I went with Clegg's even though they were a little higher estimate because when I asked the chemical name for the Termidor, JJ honestly stated he did not know, but would get back to me with the information. Another company gave me misleading information, claiming their product and costs were cheaper because they used the "generic Termidor." I looked it up later and found out it was a completely different chemical - ignorance or deception? A third company never answered their phone, but I couldn't delay getting the treatment done. I was happy with Cleggs termite service (separate review for yard spray). "
"This company communicate very well. Will give you a quick free estimate and will stick to that price. Their prices are fair and they show up when they say they will be here. I would highly recommend."
Repair costs typically range from $200 to $1,500, depending on the issue, such as leaks, burner malfunctions, or thermostat failures. Complex repairs involving heat exchanger replacement can be more expensive.
It can be difficult to determine the cause of a coolant leak unless you have the unit inspected by a certified professional. Most coolant leaks are caused by wear and tear on seals and joints. This typically happens five years after a unit is installed. Additionally, faulty or worn compressors, evaporator coils, and condenser coils can also cause leaks.
