"Trae and his team were AMAZING! We chose him solely on his energy and knowledge for what our project entailed. We previously hired a landscaper that didn’t do the job we expected, but came across this company and we’re BLOWN AWAY! I HIGHLY recommend Trae and team to do any small or large project around your house and for your landscaping. I’m still in shock by what he did! Thank you!!!"

"Very professional. I had 3 trees very very tall trees, limbs grown together, a power line involved, and a fence to protect. They came on-time, had necessary equipment, and worked carefully and quickly. Clean-up was excellent. Only negative, they had to cut a tree which I loved and they didn't ask me...it was just gone. However they replaced it that day. They made it right."

"Everything about the service was great but I could not give perfect score because I expected the yard would be cleaned when they finished. I was not told and did not know that the holes would be left open and all the sawdust and dirt piled all around. I am disabled and elderly. I am still trying to find help to fill the holes and clean up the mounds of sawdust. And that will cost more! Mr Huskens was very kind, and communicated with me throughout the process, and even made a trip back to me to give the receipt for my payment."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

If you’re wondering whether you can plant a tree where the stump was removed, know that the soil conditions won’t be ideal, so you should avoid it. The soil beneath the previous tree will likely be depleted of nutrients, plus there may be roots left behind that will seriously hinder the growth of a new tree. Also, if you use salt or other chemical solutions to kill the stump, these can linger in the soil for months or even years and prevent healthy growth. It’s best to choose a different spot that’s at least three feet away for a new tree, or wait at least a year and thoroughly amend the soil before you plant.

Yes, it can be good to remove dead branches from trees. Dead branches can lead to rot in other areas of the tree. They can also cause damage if they fall on a house, shed, fence, car, pool, or other structure or property. However, it’s important that dead branch removal is done safely. If the branch is high in a tree or requires a lift or ladder to access, consider calling a professional tree removal company, as they will have the experience and equipment to do the job safely.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

There are several signs that may indicate a tree needs to be cut down. These include visible damage to the trunk or branches, a hollow trunk, extensive storm damage, or a significant lean to one side. Other warning signs are pest infestations or the tree growing too close to a house, power lines, or other structures. It is best to hire a professional arborist to inspect the tree, as they can determine if it can be saved or if removal is necessary.
