"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Kitchen Restylers took an extremely outdated, depressing kitchen and in just four days, they created a sleek, clean and delightfully beautiful kitchen. Tim and John were as professional as they come, always on time, pleasant, executed the project with precision, all in a timely manner. I couldn't be more thrilled with the total package, cost, labor and finished product. The materials used are top notch, the countertops are lustrous and the new stainless steel sink and exhaust fan over the stove were the icing on the "cake". They rate MORE than 5 stars in my book!!! I have absolutely no problem referring anyone to call Kitchen Restylers."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Frameless cabinets fit the space-saving, minimalist attributes of European-style kitchens more than face frame models. That also makes them a good pick for apartments and dorms, as well as any more modern-style kitchen.

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

Costs range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the number of cabinets and labor.

Pre-made cabinets are cost-effective, readily available, and come in various styles and finishes.
