"Perez Landscaping, Tree & Painting Services did a fantastic job removing several large trees! They were very professional. They arrived on time and worked extremely hard! The trees were close to the house and a shed. They were very accurate in dropping the large limbs and cutting the trees in sections. After the trees were removed they cleaned up the yard and left it looking better than when they started. I highly recommend Perez Landscaping, Tree & Painting Services!"

"Bryan came when he said he would to give a free estimate. We were just leaving home when he came to do the work. When we arrived home he had done everything we agreed needed doing and left a invoice for the price we agreed on. Very happy with the work and look foward to having him take care of our yard year round."

"Watkins Landscaping removed a tree from my front yard whose roots were growing wildly underground and pushing against the foundation of my house. The landscaping team was timely and worked professionally throughout the duration of the project. The tree and its roots were removed without issue or complication. They then stabilized and seeded the soil and clean the work area thoroughly. I would definitely hire Watkins Landscaping again."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Some commercial services use sand when clearing ice, but that’s to add instant traction, not to melt the ice. While you can scatter kitty litter, sand, or similar substances on steps, paths, or porches to improve safety during icy conditions, they won’t help melt hardened ice. Rely on salt or other de-icing methods to fully melt away stubborn ice.

The best time to buy a snow blower is typically around May to early June. This is when most manufacturers introduce new models, and quantities are limited—once early summer rolls around, the focus shifts to lawn mower production. As the new models are released, you may find a wider selection of models, potential discounts or clearance sales on older models, and greater availability, ensuring you are well-prepared for the upcoming winter season.

Be careful when choosing a product to help you remove ice from your wood deck. Never use sand, gravel, or salt, since these items can damage and scratch the wood. Instead, look for chemical de-icers that are marked as safe for wood decks or use hot water to melt snow and ice.

Costs range from $50 to $150 per hour, depending on the property size and service frequency.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.
