Customers say: Quick response

"I initially created my project just to get a couple quotes for budgeting. Carlos called the morning after I posted this and frankly he was the only pro I connected with that even offered to quote. Maybe since I had it listed as just budgeting? Regardless, Carlos made my small paver patio project seem like the most important one. He came out, gave his opinion, but was always very vocal about making sure i was happy with the direction of the project. The price he quoted seemed fair, and was within our budget so I had no qualms about moving forward with him. Between rain, and a couple other things, it took about a month to get the project started, but once he started, he moved quickly and thoroughly. He brought me in when a decision needed to be made, just to make sure I was going to be happy with the final project. Carlos was professional, respectful, and I would have zero hesitation rehiring him in the future."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

A concrete seal can protect your garage floor from water and stains as can an epoxy coating. The main difference is that epoxy is much more durable and better for heavy-duty wear and tear—it’s used in more industrial and commercial settings. If you’re just using the garage as storage for tools and your car, concrete sealer will do just fine. But if your garage doubles as a workshop for side projects and auto repair, epoxy will hold up better.

It costs between $600 and $8,400 to stain an average-size concrete patio of around 300 square feet. The wide price range accounts for intricate stains that incorporate multiple colors and stenciling, high-end sealers, and special touches, such as stamping or concrete polishing. Prices can also vary if you need to make multiple repairs to your patio before adding the stain and seal.

Exterior paint finishes come in a variety of options, but for concrete, your best bet is to go with an eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss latex paint. All three options are more durable than matte finishes and should help hide imperfections on your home’s concrete surface.

Other garage floor concrete sealers besides epoxy include solvent-based acrylic and polyacrylic sealers, quick-drying polymer or polyurethane sealers, and scratch-resistant polyurea floor coatings that are ideal for exterior applications. These sealants come in basic clear forms and more decorative options, varying in price accordingly.

To properly maintain an epoxy garage floor, regularly sweep up dirt and debris using a broom and dustpan or a vacuum cleaner. Mop with warm water and scrub away stains using a mild cleaning solution that's safe for the epoxy product you have installed. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.
