"Joe and crew stopped by to give me an estimate and asked if he could at least tidy up the lawn for me right then (we were in the process of moving in and the lawn was in bad shape). They not only mowed but also cleaned up the flowerbeds and him on a full schedule! Yes I highly recommend this company!"

"Dylan came by to provide an estimate within a couple of days and then he and his team came out to clear out some weeded beds, put in new mulch, trim hedges and other general landscaping. From estimate to completion was less than a week and everything turned out great."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"Great honest contractors. They did my bathrooms, hot water heater, unclogged my house drain and they did a French drain so my basement is not wet anymore. I already hired them to do my whole roof in the spring. I will hire them anytime."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Yes, but it depends on what you have planted in yours and the extent of the damage. Hardier shrubs and plants with droopy leaves have a better chance of bouncing back, but do go ahead and cut back any broken branches or damaged portions. Fertilizer can help, but wait until you spot new growth before you feed any plants.

We always recommend wearing a protective mask when blowing leaves (as well as goggles if possible). Blowing leaves creates a lot of dust, and in many cases that dust contains a bunch of allergens that can make those sensitive very miserable. Even worse, moldy leaves can contain fungi and bacteria that could make humans as animals very sick. Mask up before starting your leaf project, and if anyone is helping you collect the leaves it’s a good idea if they wear a mask, too.

Water regularly, avoid heavy foot traffic, and clear debris promptly to support lawn health.

Sure thing! Recycling natural lump charcoal offers even more possibilities. Try using it as mulch to suppress weeds in your yard. You can also add a piece of charcoal to your vase to prolong the lifespan of cut flowers. Remember, fresh lump charcoal works wonders as an odor neutralizer, but avoid using used charcoal as it may lead to contamination.

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.
