"Hired Garret and his crew starting last season and have been a 100% satisfied with their services. They always arrive when they say and do an amazing job with mowing and trimming my yard. They always use a blower to blow grass clippings off of the driveway and walkway. You can’t go wrong using All Seasons Landscaping & Labor."

"Fast Lane Contracting cleared about 500 square feet of thick forest in our back yard. Robert and Melody are friendly and professional and asked us all along the process what we were wanting and if they were providing that service as we wanted. They truly cared about doing the job exactly as wanted. The price was good, too. I would definitely use them again."

"I treated my lawn for clovers using turf builder, mesotrione, and triple S. After a few months ha they always came back. I tried greener lawns last spring and all my problems with clover were solved with a few weeks. I went from a lawn of clover flowers to the grass I always wanted. Would definitely recommend for professional service at a great rate."

"Had my entire driveway removed and replaced. After a few months found crack in driveway. An "employee" of the company stated he would repair the crack at no cost. Several months later "employee" removed a section of driveway and then refused to complete the work. Business owner claims they did not agree to do the repair and "employee" did it on his own personal time. Don't understand how a business could allow an "employee" start but not finish a job. Make sure you get warranty in writing. Had to complete repair on my own."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.

Hedges can be trimmed in many other shapes than the standard square shape. They can be cut into spiral, cone, and sphere shapes. However, cutting and maintaining these types of shapes is much more challenging. There are metal frames that you can purchase to place around the hedge to make it much easier.

Don’t worry if there’s a gap between cutting and planting an ideal branch. You can still cut the perfect branch when you see it. If you can’t get it in a pot or water right away, put it in a zip-top bag in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to finish the process, make a fresh cut.

Monkey grass isn’t too picky when it comes to light conditions: It needs sun but prefers partial shade. While it can tolerate full sun, it thrives in environments with partial shade (around four to six hours of sunlight per day). The black mondo grass variety is the most tolerant of heat from direct sunlight.

The best time to plant a tree is in the spring, so the roots have time to grow into the surrounding soil before winter sets in. Some people recommend planting in the late fall. However, planting in the spring reduces the stress on the tree, as it will be emerging from dormancy, giving it the full spring and summer ahead to acclimate and put down roots into the soil.
