This moving company no-showed on move day. They were supposed to arrive between 8AM and 10AM. I only got call back when I inquired at 9:30 as to status and ETA. They said COVID and staff were issues. I finally found one of the owners. He apologized and promised to show up next day. They did. Some of the teammates provided were experienced. Most had little experience. Communications were lacking, although their automated systems do remind you of upcoming move schedule. Owner would not divulge his mobile number. He did not return calls. They damaged a high-end dining room table…Simply inexperience was root cause. I would not use this company again.

they were two hours late. they did not know how to pack a truck. required unload/reloading. i told them to be careful with my large bookcases. they broke the top shelf off of 4 of the 5 bookcases. i told them to be careful with my daughters childhood table. rather than removing the legs from the table they put it in the truck with the legs still affixed and they stacked other items on it subsequently breaking one leg completely in two. EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE HAS SOME LEVEL OF DAMAGE THAT IS DIRECTLY ATTRIBUABLE TO COLLEGE DUDES HELP U MOVE INCOMPETENCE, in addition to the damage noted above; large kitchen cart broke one of the wheeled legs in two places. needs to be repaired two each, 6 and 7 shelves respectively CD cases, 31" x 42" chipped sides on both and one broken shelf kitchen table, large chip on one side DVD shelves, multiple chips and the back was partially separated from the main body bamboo over white oak easy chair the tops of the arms are abraded very badly. additionally they first put the easy chair in the back of my pickup truck. the weather was overcast. they expected me to drive 350 miles with a bamboo and oak frame chair with wool covers over feather filling open to the weather. this is where the unload/reload happened. the 14 drawer chest of drawers had two knobs broken off. they did not remove them or the drawers before loading additionally they "lost" two banana leaf woven over a steel frame, about 8" tall x 28' dia AND one each, autographed baseball bat signed by Joe Dimaggio autographed baseball bat signed by Henry Aaron autographed baseball bat signed by Ken Griffey Jr. when they were ready to leave they told my daughter they were going. problem is she thought they had told me too. they did not. now since i was the dang fool paying them they should have told me. the estimate was at $2,700, the final charge was $4,200. i would not use these people again unless they paid me. DO NOT USE COLLEGE DUDES HELP U MOVE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR ANY REASON, EVER!!! THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL WITH A CLAIMS FORM WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THEM. I OPEN THE ATTACHED FORM AND MY COMPUTER WENT DOWN. WHEN I TRIED TO RESTART MY COMPUTER IT SAID "CANNOT FIND OPERATING SYSTEM". IF YOU HEAR THE NAME CANSSANDRA COLLEGE GRAB YOUR WALLET AND GET OUT. BEFORE I COMMITTED TO THIS GANG MRS. COLLEGE WAS CALLING, EMAILING AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE, AFTERWARDS YOU COULDN'T FIND HERE WITH A BLOODHOUND. IF THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A 72 YEAR OLD RETIRED VET WHY WOULD YOU THINK THEY WILL TREAT YOU ANY DIFFERENTLY. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DIDN'T.

Team Leader was super professional and motivated but lack of training and professionalism in assistants led to damaged furniture, damaged lawn, and damaged storage facility wall. Much idle time waiting for direction from leader which unfortunately meant longer total time and large bill.

I hired College Dudes for a simple move out of one house 2 miles down the road to a new house. I hired them form online. I sent photos of all my stuff. When they first arrived I was good with them. They were late by an hour but did call. They started wrapping the first 3 pcs of furniture up with blankets then I'm not sure what happened. They got tired or what. They didn't wrap anything. They broke 2 legs right off my daughters vanity by dragging it on the carpet. Then they dropped my desk and dresser on the wooden stairs. They dented and scratched the stairs all up. Then they hit the walls a ton of times with even little things. There are dents, holes, paint scratches, gouges all over both of my homes. Both homes were just professionally painted prior to the move. Then they broke my favorite vase. They didn't even tell me they left it in the corner of the garage behind other things. Then when they got to the appliances. Even though I clearly listed the appliances in my inventory they said it would be extra to move them. It was supposed to be included. I've called their office about 6 times now. The claims departmentt sent over a bogus claims form that only allows you to fill out one damaged thing. I called her back again. I told her my painter came out to the first house and fixed the walls and stairs. That cost me $350. I had to get it done the home is on the market. She laughed and said ok i guess we will refund you that. I told her the painter was going to fix the second home for the same price but there is more damage there. She said NO I'll hire someone cheaper. I said that's fine as long as it's done right. She still hasn't sent anyone out. It's been 4 months. Then the furniture damage is a joke. She said they only pay per pound so they are going to send me .60 a pound for my damage furniture & items. WHAT! They weigh the stuff they broke and pay you .60. I argued this to the fullest and still have no result. No reimbursement on the painting I paid for, No painter to fix my new house, No furniture. I think the worst part of this is that in the middle of the move they were constitutionally asking me to sign the iPad. There were pages of crap in little letters. I couldn't read all of that I was trying to move. Then when we got to my new house they had all of my stuff in there 2 trucks, They said ok here is your bill. I said what? They said prior to unloading your stuff we have to get paid in full. I said no I'll wait and see how long it takes you as they charge per hour . They said they won't unload anything until they are paid. I said what about the damages to my home and stuff. They said the claims department will call you and take care of it. I should never of paid them. Today 4 months 4 days later I have no result. No reimbursement, no paint, no furniture. If you hire these lazy bozo's you will be sorry.

They were awesome movers, very respectful and took great care of my things. I highly complimented them, thought they were awesome, I even tipped them. I asked them to wrap my standing jewelry box to ensure none of my items would fall out; which they did so I felt very secure about it. Of course they unwrapped it along with other things they wrapped and took the trash with them which I thought was great. I really thought everything went well until 2 days later when I went into my jewelry box to put on very sentimental pandora bracelet, spiritual charm bracelet and other charm bracelet; all of which were given to me by special people in my life; one of which passed this past May at an early age; was gone. I did pull all the drawers out of the jewelry box searching; things shifted per drawer, but because of how the jewelry box is made, nothing dropped in drawers below. When I reached out to College Dudes Move..... the first person I spoke to did not show any kind of concern. I ended up spending an entire day calling them, waiting on return calls, all of which I had to tell the story over each time. The 2nd person I spoke to did show some compassion and gave apologies; each time we spoke. finally the next day, the first person I spoke with called back to tell me that she finally reached the team or leader that moved me and no on said they had it and they had not proof it was taken. I asked her when did she know of a thief confessing........ anyway; one of them took my jewelry, I am very heart broken because they mean so much too me and cannot be replaced. As good as they are movers, being a thief messes that all up. I will never use them again or recommend them.

11/19/2020 - As a follow up, my move was completed this evening and I just discovered the complete back of my dresser was destroyed during the move. The movers pushed it against the wall and I only discovered it because I started packing. Extremely disappointed in this company. My mattress was not covered during the move and it's extremely filthy. I was told by the drivers that they were not given mattress covers although my order clearly stated that 2 queen mattresses were going to be transported. Then they acted like they were doing me a favor for not charging me for the time their truck did not start. I was charged an unbelievable $850. I try not to write negative reviews but this is the worst service I have ever received. I hope they compensate for my filthy and broken furniture. Unbelievable!!! I would not recommend if you needed professional services... maybe dorm room to dorm room service. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU VALUE YOUR FURNITURE! 11/14/2020 - I scheduled my move with a 8am - 10am window 1 week in advance. I received several emails confirming my move date after deposit made. The day of the move no one showed during time scheduled. I called the office at 1030am and was told I was the 2nd person to call about missing movers. Finally the movers xalled at 3pm that they were on their way ???. I was already at another location. There's no customer service. Very unprofessional.

Josh and Julian were amazing! They actually helped me move earlier in the day than originally planned and were able to complete the move quickly and carefully. I was so happy with how they both helped arrange the bigger furniture in the new place and stacked my boxes neatly in my office. I would highly recommend College Dudes Help U Move!!

I called, spoke to Cassandra, who was very accommodating and efficient, and booked their moving services for the near future. I’m looking forward to having them move my furnishings to my new home.

The move went well. They sent 5 guys (one was being trained so no charge for him) and two trucks. We needed it, because we needed them to empty a house and a storage unit. Shawn was the person in charge and he was very professional and hard working. All of the movers worked hard all day. They did ding a few walls in the house we were moving out or and scratch the floor in a few spots, however, if we did it our selves there probably would have been more scratches and dings. They showed up at 9:15 am and worked at the first house till about noon clocked out and met my husband at the storage unit at about 1:15pm then came to the new house for about 2.5 hours. We were happy with the speed and the service. They did not wear masks and I did not ask them to because of the work that they were doing, however, it would have been more comforting if they did. I would recommend this company the move set up was very easy, mostly online and we had reschedule twice and there was no fee. Make sure to remember to tip we gave each mover $60 (not included in the approximate coast of service). They worked hard and Shawn kept everyone on task.

Nearly everything that wasn't boxed up was damaged during my move this morning. Most notably would be several large and obvious scratches across the top of my cocktail table, and drag marks / scuffing from where it and my headboard were obviously pushed or dragged across a rough surface. The movers did not inform me of the damage (which would have been obvious and I doubt that they didn't see), and when I informed them of the things that were damaged, they took pictures and told me they contacted their manager and the claims department would be following up. After not hearing back I decided to follow up and was told that no photos or claim was ever submitted. The person on the other end of the phone didn't seem surprised and I get the feeling that this kind of thing is not unusual for them. When I was finally able to speak to the claims department, they claim that all of the damage that was done to my furniture "looked old," so they won't be reimbursing me for any of it. As a result, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere when planning your next move. [*** Link removed ***]

Following up on my negative review, I received a message from the owner and he very nicely indicated that they do not see any additional insurance having been purchased and asked when the best time to call would be. I replied that they could call anytime. Shortly after doing so, I received a VM from Christina. Regrettably the last two numbers were not very clear, so when I called back I got the wrong VM, and had to call back on the number that dialed in which went directly to her. I do not know if this call was recorded or monitored. I called in calmly and she explained that she had been sick and that’s why she hadn’t been able to follow-up to which I simply said, I am sorry to hear that, but I have been there before and I can understand that. Before anything else could be said, she was upset about my comment relating to the insurance, and that I shouldn’t have placed the comment because it was wrong and unfounded because they are bonded and insured. I explained to her that the way the movers made it seem was that it was a requirement and that since I have yet to receive a paid invoice 4 days later, I was unable to verify what she was saying. Further, what I don’t think she doesn’t understand is that while the company is bonded and insured, many moving companies sell moving insurance to cover damage to items during a move, which is what I had been alluding to, and I don’t think she understood. From there she doubled-down on the fact that I shouldn’t have said what I said about the insurance piece because it was wrong and I couldn’t prove it. When I explained again that I was lead to believe that, she kept getting heated about the comment and then said she had been reprimanded by her supervisor and that they had to listen to “the call” (I assume one from Monday) during which I felt whoever I spoke with was rushing me off the line. At this point I realized the call was going nowhere, and I mentioned that she shouldn’t be telling me what I can and cannot say. I would happily remove my comments about the insurance if they would send me a paid invoice/receipt proving I wasn’t charged for it, but four days later I still haven’t received anything and still haven’t received a claim form for the damaged items. I told her I had filed a complaint with the AG’s office and that I would let them handle it, she then said that’s fine and that they are great friends with the AG’s office and work closely with them. I think she meant to try and intimidate me with that comment, based on the flow and nature of the entire call. Bottom line is 4 days later, no receipt/paid invoice, still no claim form. The calls I made to them were recorded (except I am not sure this one was as I explained above) and in each of the calls I was calm when explaining my side of the story.

It was not a good experience. They showed up hours later than I was originally quoted because of that they didn't finish until almost 3:30 a.m the following morning. I had a tool chest delivered to the wrong location. They attempted to charge me almost triple what I was originally quoted on the phone. They disappeared several times into their trucks for long periods at a time. their management cannot or will not call me back . I've called almost 7 times in the last 24 hours and have yet to receive a phone call or email that I keep being promised I would receive. I had what amounted to about a 1 bedroom apartment and the fact that they got lost and didn't show up until 3 pm instead of 10 am. I know that they had been working on another job since 8 am i know they were tired but all of this is just not OK.
