Customers say: Super punctual
"The first two visits were fine and the ants were abated. We were required to go under contract and did so after the first treatment worked so well. That part was fine. The Associate who came to the house the last two times is where the problem comes in. His first visit was fine. My wife escorted him around the house as he checked and treated windows and doors. The last time, September 14, 2018, was another story. She escorted him around the downstairs and decided to let him go upstairs on his own. She noticed he was up there too long and quietly went up the stairs and watched him as he removed prescription med bottles from the medicine cabinet and read the labels. He was actually shining his flashlight on the labels so he could read them. She asked him what he was doing, and scared the fire out of him. He stammered and said he was looking for silverfish. She made him leave the house, had him finish up outside and paid him for the services. He was very worried that she might call his boss and tried to express concern about him breaking her trust. I immediately called the office he works out of, 232 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, and asked to speak to a supervisor. The girl who answered the phone said he wasn't there; he was at a conference at the corporate office in South Carolina. I asked for that number and she gave it to me. I called there and was told there was not conference going on, and the man I was looking for wasn't there. I left a message with his supervisor in the South Carolina office. I received a call a short time later from the Swannanoa River Road manager and explained what happened. He was surprised and told me, "That doesn't sound like Al." He assured me he would look into it and call me back. It is now 10/17/18 and I haven't heard a word. I have attempted to call the office and received no answer. From what I can tell the associate is not even an NC resident - I wonder about their vetting process. Beware and never leave an "associate" to lead themselves around your house. I really don't think they fired this guy - I wouldn't want him in my house or yours."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Small amounts of geese are actually good for the environment. They help spread seeds and lead to more plant growth, but they’re often an invasive species, particularly Canadian geese. This means a small gaggle can quickly grow into a level that litters your lawn with bald patches and excrement.

Birds are often averse to certain strong scents. For instance, the odor of predator urine, such as that from foxes or hawks, can deter them. Similarly, birds may dislike the pungent aromas of garlic, onions, and chili peppers. Essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, and citrus can also be effective in keeping birds away. However, it's important to note that individual bird species might react differently to these scents, so it might require some experimentation to find the most effective repellent for your specific situation.

You can find a variety of humane bird repellent sprays online and at home improvement stores. However, if you want to try a DIY method that will keep birds away without harming them, mix some water, dish soap, and a few drops of peppermint oil and spray the area you want bird-free. Peppermint oil is a notoriously lovely smell for humans, but birds tend to avoid it.

We integrate green practices and products, ensuring effective pest management with minimal environmental impact.

Strong scents like peppermint, rosemary, lavender, citronella, and others can repel woodpeckers—as pungent smells can overpower their senses. For that reason, you might consider making a homemade spray with one or a combination of these scents to spritz around areas of your home where woodpeckers frequent.
