ANGIE'S LIST SUPER SERVICE AWARD WINNERS 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013. \n\nOutdoor Artisan, Inc. is Charlotte's highest rated design and build company. Our team specializes in creating exceptional outdoor living spaces and custom timber structures. Here are a few examples of what sets us apart from other area contractors: \n\n1. We send experienced designers, not salesmen, to your first consultation. They will listen to your dreams for your space and help you refine your vision. Then create a thoughtful design based on this conversation, one that flows well, compliments your property, and reflects your personal style. \n\n2. We provide FIRM quotes, not project estimates. This means, what you are quoted is exactly what it will cost, unless you choose to change the scope of work. So no ugly cost surprises at the end of your project! \n\n3. We strive to give every client an exceptional contractor experience; by communicating well, and providing a dedicated project manager who leads a team of skilled craftsman. We work hard to stay on schedule and our team will remain on your project until all is complete. Then we clean up really well, because we want to leave you with just two things: a great feeling about your contractor experience, and a gorgeous space ready to enjoy!\n\nDon't just take our word for it. Be sure to read our confirmed reviews on Angie's List and Houzz, and look at our project gallery to see the amazing results of good design and craftsmanship. You can also follow our daily project posts on INSTAGRAM @outdoorartisan. You will see why, although just a small, family owned company, we are one of the top rated, design and build hardscapers in this area.\n\nPlease give us a call. We would love the opportunity to talk with you about your project and show what we have to offer!\n\nNOTE: Payment options include: cash, check and major credit cards (credit processing fees require an additional 3% of the total amount charged). IMPORTANT: Be aware that companies can hire "fake reviewers." Trust only those sites with confirmed customer review processes, such as Angie's List, to get accurate rating information.

Woodlands has been in business since 2002 under the name of Woodlands Landscaping, Inc. In keeping up with the trends, we have chosen to change our name to Woodlands Outdoor Living. Mostly we are referred to simply as Woodlands. We are locally owned and operated by Scott Greeson. As Scott is originally from Kannapolis and has lived in the Concord/Kannapolis area his entire life, he has a strong foundation and knowledge of the area, its needs and economic growth. Being that we are located in Concord, NC we are able serve the Concord, Charlotte, Harrisburg, Davidson, Mooresville, Huntersville and surrounding areas. \n\nOur mission is to act with care, respect and integrity to our community by providing top quality services that will exceed expectations. Our goal is to become the leader of the landscape industry while maintaining the personal touch. As landscaping and economic trends have changed more people are investing back into their homes and families by adding outdoor living areas. That is why we have chosen to open a showroom featuring these areas. Woodlands gives you a location to "visualize and touch" rather than conceptualize your new outdoor living area. Woodlands showcases outdoor kitchens (and appliances), outdoor audio/video systems, fireplaces, paver patios and walkways, pergolas and pavilions, stone walls, firepits, natural and cultured stone.

A koi pond should be at least 5 feet deep to keep the fish healthy and ensure they don’t freeze in winter. Koi fish are also known for growing large, so the more room you have, the better. A larger koi pond size will allow the fish to grow bigger than a smaller one will, and the more fish you have, the bigger the pond you’ll need. Learn how to build a pond in your backyard to ensure it remains functional and aesthetically pleasing for a long time.
Regular water testing, debris removal, and seasonal maintenance ensure healthy water quality.
When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.
Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.
The average pond maintenance cost is $2,000. But how much you pay to take care of your pond depends on multiple factors, such as the size of the pond and whether fish live in it. Your area's climate also affects the overall maintenance cost, as you may need to winterize your pond to protect it and any aquatic life in it during the colder months.
