The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

To maximize their longevity, it is important to fix any damage as soon as possible, clean up spills immediately, and address cosmetic issues promptly. Scratches, stains, and even burns can often be buffed out with sandpaper, and water stains can be treated with a specific water stain remover.

Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or cutting directly on the surface.
