"Amazing company to work with. Very professional through the whole process and the install was extremely quick and easy. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how our new counters look. Deron (the owner) took great care of us and was communicating the entire time through the whole process. I will highly suggest if you are looking for a great counter company to give Countertops in Montana a call for your next project."

"When I needed stone countertops I research several shops. I found cornerstone fabrication to be an excellent value, very competitive and a personable customer focused experience regardless of the job size. I'm very confident with their work and have contracted them for the fourth time. They delivered exactly what I ask for and needed."

"Chayse came around the first time and wasn't able to solve the problem because he didn't have the proper equipment. The second time he came and was able to get 2/3 of the job done. I asked him to also help me install the faucet but he wasn't able to do it because he said the parts didn't fit. Apparently he did not have experience installing widespread 2-Handle faucet. I ended up installing it myself without having to go to home depot buying any extra part."

A functional sink was installed that did not come out into the doorway. A custom cabinet needed to be built for the plumbing.

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

You can save some money on countertops by going the DIY route, though it can be risky. Laminate is attractive for cost-conscious homeowners, as it can mimic natural materials like granite and wood. It’s also easy to install. Other inexpensive options include ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and butcher block. For serious savings, skip a full replacement and refinish the pre-existing countertop.

Deciding between marble and granite for kitchen countertops depends on your personal priorities, budget, and style. Both materials have similar costs for material and installation.

Marble offers a luxurious aesthetic and timeless beauty, but it is more expensive and requires more maintenance. It is susceptible to staining and etching from acidic substances like coffee, wine, or tomato sauce if spills are not cleaned up quickly.

Granite is highly durable, heat-resistant, and easier to maintain, making it a practical choice for busy kitchens.

Both materials should be sealed to protect against damage, but they can still be vulnerable to stains if spills are left on the surface for too long.

Yes, many services include the removal and disposal of old countertops. Confirm with your installer.

For most homeowners, quartz and quartzite countertops are similar in price. The average quartz countertop installation costs $80 to $220 per square foot, while quartz countertops cost $70 to $200 per square foot. Of course, there are outliers, like if you choose a highly customized, rare natural stone with high-end finishes.

Porcelain is a relatively affordable, mid-range countertop material. It typically costs between $50 to $70 per square foot.

Compared to quartz, porcelain is slightly more affordable, as quartz generally ranges from $50 to $200 per square foot. However, lower-quality, builder's grade quartz can be similar in price to porcelain.

Compared to granite, the price can be similar, depending on the quality of the stone. While granite slabs can range from $50 to $200 per square foot, you can find lower-end granite in the same price range as porcelain. High-end granites will cost significantly more.

Porcelain is generally more expensive than laminate, acrylic, and ceramic, but less expensive than high-end slate, concrete, and marble. A key benefit is that porcelain does not require sealing, which reduces long-term maintenance costs.
