"Kyle with Feral 5 construction did excellent work in putting a new laminate flooring in our living space. The area had many odd angles, as well as circular cuts. Which he did a great job on. He was timely and considerate our wishes for the new flooring. His labor charges are on par with the going labor rate."

"I worked directly with Jasmine. Jasmine was great to work with, very professional and relatable. She was understanding about the sudden changes in color and material I had during multiple consultations. She offered me a vast knowledge of materials and details about the work I hadn’t thought of or didn’t know about. If I have another project in the future I won’t hesitate to reach out to Sentri Homes."

"Storm damage on my over 100 year old house required a new roof. High demand for roofing made getting a good roofer nearly impossible. Angi gave me several options. THE WORKS team responded the next day and gave me a quote that was very reasonable compared to local quotes I had gotten and scheduled the job for completion before winter. True to their word they brought a large crew of skilled roofers who completed the job to my wishes in record time. They were responsive to work with. Would hire them again."
The final cap and closure never gets old, aesthetically looks great, functional, its the surety your home is secure...!!!

"AHS could not get a plumber for us. All booked up. They were attempting to get someone three hours away. Don't know if they were successful with that. We paid a plumber ourselves who could come out in a few days. Billy's Plumbing, Brookings, OR. Rating below, A-F scale, would be for plumber, not AHS. Rating: A+ Will recommend him."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Any type of construction that damages a tree’s roots via soil compaction can be dangerous, and is one of the primary causes of mature tree death in residential areas. Simply putting lots of weight on the ground around the tree, like construction supplies, trailers, and equipment, can kill roots near the surface. Of course, installing new foundations, patios, or utility lines can cut through nearby tree roots. Accidentally striking a tree with equipment or supplies is rarely a problem, but can cause damage of its own, too.

Technically, there isn't a difference between safe rooms and storm shelters. Both are designed to protect you from storms and extreme weather events. People often use “safe room” when discussing a shelter inside a building and storm shelter when talking about a detached unit.

Additionally, a safe room is understood to have more functions than a storm shelter. You may seek shelter in a safe room when you believe an intruder is in the home or when under another type of threat.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

Due to the expansion of the tiny house movement, you can usually find tiny houses to buy in your state. Prices range considerably based on size, style, and type. If you’re looking for a tiny home that’s move-in ready, you may be able to find a good deal to buy or a prefab dealer near you.

Unfortunately, there are many disadvantages to stone houses. They are slow to build and the materials are pricey, both of which balloon the total cost. Stone walls require a more robust foundation, which costs more to install. Running plumbing, electrical, and HVAC through a stone house is much more difficult too, so homeowners need to seriously consider if the aesthetic benefit is worth the cost of building with stone. One of the questions to ask a masonry contractor is if a similar aesthetic can be achieved with another material.
