"I hired them to clean out our dryer and vents. They came on time and did a great job. The laundry room was super clean because they use a vacuum and a compressor to clean all the dirt and lint out of the system, super satisfied with the job that was done it could not have been done anymore effectively. The technician was professional, polite, and really reviewed what he was doing."

"We had Cameron handle two mini split installations: one at our home and another at our shop. The shop project was quite complex, and Cameron did an outstanding job. It took two visits to complete, but everything was done to our full satisfaction. Cameron is not only professional and hardworking but also friendly and prompt, making the entire experience pleasant and stress-free. We highly recommend his services!"

"Very professional and knowledgeable about our central heating and A/C. He did a complete check of both systems for preventive maintenance and made good recommendations for my own services I could do. Pointed out a couple areas that may need service in the future. Answered all our questions about the units and proper operations. Was very helpful and professional."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.

If you’re trying to buy a new AC unit, there are a few crucial factors to consider. Look at the cooling capacity, the available warranty, the energy efficiency, and the type of unit. A ductless unit will cost more up front but may be a more viable option if you don’t already have ductwork. Additionally, a unit with better energy efficiency will cost less to run overall, saving you money on your monthly energy bill.

A non-maintained AC is more likely to perform poorly, increase your energy bills, and undergo more severe issues like breakage and water damage. That’s why DIY cleaning or professional maintenance is recommended annually. Otherwise, you might end up paying more in the end than you would for annual service. You can purchase cheap AC cleaning kits if you prefer going the DIY route.

A dual evaporator coil is a specific design that allows the AC system to cool different compartments at different levels. It’s usually seen in refrigerators and similar appliances, but not in whole-house air conditioning systems. Talk with your AC technician about the best uses for a dual evaporator coil.

While an air conditioner can temporarily run with a dirty filter, it is not recommended as it will not work efficiently. A dirty filter forces the system to work harder to circulate cool air, leading to reduced airflow, increased wear and tear, and higher energy bills. This added strain can cause the air conditioner to overheat or fail prematurely. Furthermore, a clogged filter may allow dust and dirt to accumulate in your ductwork, negatively impacting air quality. It is more cost-effective to clean or replace filters regularly than to pay higher utility bills and risk needing to replace the entire AC unit.
