Small jobs welcome

"Mike and his crew showed up on the dot and went right to work. They remembered the items we wanted done and did some other things on their own, just because they needed to be done. They were all pleasant, polite and professional. The only thing a little disappointing was the decking boards they used to replace the damaged ones don't match the older boards because they are thicker so are higher than the older boards. Also, the older boards have been pressure washed so the replacements boards are obviously smoother. However, we are genuinely pleased with the work and the speed it was completed and how neatly they left the work site. We would recommend Mike without hesitation."

"From the first phone call until the inspection and goodbyes, working with Western Trim and Finish LLC was easy and enjoyable. Levi was always friendly and was always respectful to my wishes. His team arrived early, worked late and finished the deck within the 3-day time schedule he promised. He and his team added several extra finishing touches that make such a difference in my finished deck. It is hands down the best-built and most beautiful deck on my street! I hope to hire Western Trim and Finish LLC for my fence replacement. My advice is hire this company for your next outdoor project - you'll be dang happy you did!"

"Ben worked with us to accomplish what we wanted and showed us how to Dave $. Who does that? Ben does! He worked out a perfect plan for our budget. Polite, courteous and did what he said he would do. Ben is honest and reliable. Quality work. Amazing!! Only contractor we will ever use for any future jobs. Our deck is beautiful. Soon Ben will be working on a roof for our back deck. We trust him 100%"

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

Fascia and soffits differ in their location and design, but fascia vents are the most popular alternative to soffits. These are a bit more hidden than soffits, but depending on the structure of your roof, they can cost more to install and maintain. They are also installed around the entire roof, whereas soffits can be placed only where you need them or, if the aesthetics bother you, somewhere out of sight.

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

The main purpose of a gazebo is to provide a covered space for people to gather comfortably. They’re an excellent place for summertime get-togethers because the roof protects you and your guests from the sun. However, gazebos can also serve as a design feature, adding a bit of charm to a backyard or garden.

Clean regularly, seal wood surfaces, and inspect for damage or rust to ensure longevity and safety.

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.
