"Ron wrote me a quote to replace a leaky interior 40 gal tank water heater with an exterior tankless water heater. After comparing with other quotes, we chose to go with Ron for several reasons, but mainly because of his years in the business, willingness to discuss concerns and answer questions, and his itemized quote. Ron kept me up to date with changes when the unit he ordered was delayed. He showed about 30 minutes early day of install to get a head start on some weather. During the install, he welcomed questions and explained everything to my satisfaction. We made modifications to the work, deciding not to do the sheetrock replace or electrical (contracted separately) and this was reflected in the quote. The work was timely and well done. He and his crew cleaned up well after. The price I paid him was under the estimate. I would use him again in the future."

"I can't speak to price when compared to other contractors. As far as personnel feedback from neighbors they all advised to just call Dan at Automatic Lawn Sprinklers. I did try calling another company but never received a call back from them. Dan however scheduled a visit to my house the very next day for an estimate and showed up right on time. He planned and estimated for what I would need to get the job done but was conscious of my budget and did not try to add in extras that I didn't need. He also had ideas on how to cut down on costs without compromising what I wanted done. Dan also uses quality products and doesn't use cheap materials in order to maximize his profit.
I scheduled the work and Dan and his crew showed up as promised and worked diligently. They were very careful in their digging, making sure to not hit the multitude of plumbing and electrical lines that were already underground. This made their work much harder but there were no complaints nor increase in price. They were all very careful to put my yard back together as neatly as possible and took great care doing so.
After installation Dan made sure I understood how to run the control panel and offered assistance anytime should I have a question or problem.
I would recommend Dan and his crew to anyone looking for any irrigation system work.

"K'Von and Frank were amazing to work with for this move. Both were very detailed oriented and took tremendous pride in the job they were doing. They went above and beyond for us to make the move as smooth as possible. My friend was moving from one assisted living facility to another in the next town over and the move was late afternoon which both were very respectful at the other residents well being by being very quiet not to disturb others. As we were about to head out, it began to storm, and the rain was so heavy that it was flooding. We all got soaked! Thank goodness by the time we made it to the new facility the rain had stopped. K'Von and Frank never missed a beat. They unloaded the U-Haul and placed items as requested. They did a phenomenal job and we'd definitely use their services again. K'Von and Frank, thank you from the bottom of my heart for y'all's work ethics and providing a service that most people dread and for a very reasonable rate."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Installation begins with removing existing doors if necessary, measuring, and accurately fitting the storm door frame and panel for a tight seal.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

No, a storm door should not replace a regular door. It lacks the durability, insulation, and security of a proper exterior door. Most storm doors have lightweight frames and minimal locking hardware, and they aren’t meant to stand alone. While they work well as a backup to your main entry door, relying on one as your only barrier would likely lead to drafts, higher energy bills, and safety concerns.
