It went great!

Dan (the owner) came out with one worker on short notice and repaired a sprinkler head in our yard.  The service was prompt, fairly priced and we were pleased with the whole experience.  I called this company hoping to see someone soon but did not expect to see them an hour later and have the problem fixed.  Could not be more pleased and would certainly recommend them to others.

Dan was prompt coming out the day after I called.  He called before arriving to be sure the time was still good.  He identfied an electrical problem, repaired that, then repaired and adjusted the sprinkler heads.  He is knowledgable, professional, and a pleasure to work with.  He took the time to explain the system and demostrate it to me.  Excellent service at a fair price.

Started in early August and was completed in two weeks. Since the yard is sliced up to put in all of the pipes, the resulting mess was handled very well. There were no depressions left where the pipes were buried. Excess dirt was hauled away. Dan also installed three outlets on the house for use outside. Note: one of the reasons for a sprinkler system was to have separate water metering. Our sewer charges are based on water useage and are quite high. It will take twenty years to recover the cost, but now I have the convience of a sprinkler system and no longer have the manual watering hassle (of a corner lot). Now I can wash the car, water flowers, fill a pool without the sewer charges.
Nine months later lightening blew out the controller, Dan came back twice with a replacement and reinstalled it at no charge. He also checked the alignment on all the sprinkler heads for proper coverage.
A neighbor put in a sprinkler system  a month before mine and I had his company quote my lot. The price was about $3,000 more than my cost. I am well satisfied with the cost and the service I received.

I can't speak to price when compared to other contractors. As far as personnel feedback from neighbors they all advised to just call Dan at Automatic Lawn Sprinklers. I did try calling another company but never received a call back from them. Dan however scheduled a visit to my house the very next day for an estimate and showed up right on time. He planned and estimated for what I would need to get the job done but was conscious of my budget and did not try to add in extras that I didn't need. He also had ideas on how to cut down on costs without compromising what I wanted done. Dan also uses quality products and doesn't use cheap materials in order to maximize his profit.
I scheduled the work and Dan and his crew showed up as promised and worked diligently. They were very careful in their digging, making sure to not hit the multitude of plumbing and electrical lines that were already underground. This made their work much harder but there were no complaints nor increase in price. They were all very careful to put my yard back together as neatly as possible and took great care doing so.
After installation Dan made sure I understood how to run the control panel and offered assistance anytime should I have a question or problem.
I would recommend Dan and his crew to anyone looking for any irrigation system work.

Dan Golder is a stright up guy, and he honored his estimate as well as adding a couple of small extras.  His team was on time and worked hard for a timely completion.

Mr. Golder is top notch and very knowledgable about sprinkler systems and their installation. His estimate was reasonable and he took care to plan the layout in the most cost effective way. He performed the work personally with the help of his employee. Their work ethic was outstanding. They were punctual and if there was going to be any delay, I received a phone call. They were very conscientious upon completion, to make sure that the existing grass was replaced carefully where the trenches were and even reseeded some areas. They were careful about cleaning up after they were finished each day, which is always a "plus" to me. He was always available to answer any questions and came by to check a couple of minor problems promptly.
