"Excellent experience. Otis is very professional and even showed up the same day I called him to get an idea of the project. He and his crew worked with, and improved, a design idea I had come up with to work with the irregular shape of our pool patio. He provided a prompt and reasonable quote. Once they were able to start, they worked very quickly and did an excellent cleanup job as well. We couldn’t be happier with our deck. Highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

After completing pool construction and installation, your MS home requires year-round maintenance. The extended swim season demands constant chemical balancing from April through October. You must skim the water and clean filters frequently during the heavy spring pollen season. Intense heat accelerates algae growth, demanding aggressive prevention protocols. Furthermore, frequent summer thunderstorms introduce debris and alter water chemistry. You should also implement cold-weather protection for your equipment lines during occasional winter freezes.

Helpful?

Following your initial pool construction and installation, the expansive clay soils in Madison impact your property over time. This soil movement frequently causes concrete shells and pool decking to crack or settle. You need periodic structural assessments and deck releveling. Tree roots and shifting dirt also stress underground plumbing lines, requiring leak detection and pipe repairs. Additionally, heavy summer rainfall means you must actively maintain your yard drainage infrastructure to prevent erosion.

Helpful?

When reviewing quotes for pool construction and installation in MS, watch out for missing permit fees or vague fencing specifications. Reject any contractor who skips a thorough soil assessment, as expansive clay soils require careful engineering. Avoid professionals demanding massive upfront payments or promising unrealistically fast timelines. You should also decline out-of-state workers lacking local project history. Always require proof of an active state license to protect yourself from legal and structural liabilities.

Helpful?

When hiring professionals for pool construction and installation in Madison, you must verify their state license and insurance coverage. A legitimate contractor will always pull the required municipal building permits in their own name. You should hire specialists with extensive experience assessing local clay soils, as this prevents future structural damage. Request local references to confirm their expertise. Ensure they strictly follow local zoning ordinances and state fencing laws to avoid homeowner liability.

Helpful?

The high summer heat and heavy humidity in Madison create ideal conditions for rapid algae growth, requiring frequent chemical balancing. During the aggressive spring pollen season, you must increase skimming and filter cleaning to prevent clogs. The extended MS warm season also means your equipment runs longer, accelerating wear on pumps and heaters. Keep up with pool and spa service to remove storm debris quickly and adjust chlorine levels depleted by intense sun exposure.
