"WORST customer service I have ever received in my life. They took the bid from my home warranty company then REFUSED to answer the phone or return phone calls from my husband or my home warranty company once the equipment they ordered was delivered. If you are not a "regular" paying customer they will NOT prioritize your business. We tried for 3 business days to get a hold of them; countless phones calls, emails, a Facebook DM, and a message through their very weird website... all to NO avail. That's when I left a comment on their Facebook page on a post that was over a year old and that FINALLY got the owners attention. He then stated he had 24/7 monitored phone lines, which is a lie because they still won't answer them. He also said he no longer wanted the job because he didn't like that I reached out on Facebook like that (noted I was not rude just asked to have someone answer his phone or return our calls. I have all the screenshots to prove it), but I have 2 small kids (4 & 6) that are displaced from their home that is over 90 degrees and I had to find places for all my animals to go because our house is UNLIVABLE. They left me with NO other options, my family is my priority. I have never met someone who cared so little about his customers, especially when its a small local company. I don't understand why he took the job in the first place from the home warranty company if he wasn't going to be efficient, helpful or respectful."

On a summer day, expect your AC to run between 12 and 16 hours. However, this time frame depends on just how hot it is outside and the comfortable temperature you’re hoping to maintain indoors. There are two main reasons your furnace and AC are turning on at the same time. The first could be that you’re confusing the furnace with the blower. The blower is located in the furnace and will turn on to distribute cool air from the air conditioner through the ductwork in the home. This is normal. If the actual furnace is turning on at the same time as the AC and hot and cool air are coming into the home, it could be a result of incorrect writing to a new thermostat or new systems.

It all depends on the unit’s SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio). A higher SEER rating means better efficiency and lower costs for your energy bills.

The DOE is phasing out AC units with SEER ratings that fall below 14 or 15. The exact minimum rating depends on your region. In the northern United States, new ACs must have a minimum SEER rating of 14, though you can still buy and install older systems as long as they were compliant when they were manufactured. In the southern and southwestern United States, you cannot buy or install older air conditioners with lower SEER ratings. The minimum rating is between 14.5 and 15, depending on the power of the unit.
