We are licensed in Jefferson County, we have worked through out the state, we have been in business since 1991, family owned and operated.

"BEWARE!! DO NOT HIRE Ken Farrar K & D ELECTRIC. We gave him an upfront deposit of $5130 to install electric and he forgot to install an electric conduit for our island in my $19,000 concrete slab floor. Then he quit!! Didn't give us all the money back and now we have to pay a company to cut into our brand new concrete slab floor to fix this. Very Incompetent! DO NOT USE!! He also lied to us about carpenters he had hired to put up our house frame and it took 3 weeks for framing only. Lies lies."

Ultimately, the best device depends on what you’re measuring. A voltmeter only measures volts, while a multimeter measures volts, current, resistance, humidity, and possibly much more, depending on the model. If you think you’ll need to measure more than volts, consider investing in a multimeter so you have a tool that can help you with various household projects.

Yes, whole-house generators run constantly for extended periods. Whole-house generators can run for longer periods of time than portable generators, but be careful. First, they may need regular applications of engine oil (as frequently as daily), depending on the engine design. Second, running constantly for several days will increase the wear and tear on the generator and shorten its lifespan.

Yes, blue wires can be hot wires in the U.S. However, they are less common in residential properties than red and black hot wires. Blue wires are typically used as traveler wires in three-way and four-way switches, as well as ceiling fans. They allow fixtures to be controlled by multiple switches, like when there are switches at the top and bottom of a staircase for the same light.

Just like apples in a bunch, one bad outlet can cause other outlets to stop working. This is especially true if the outlets are connected in a series on the same circuit. When one outlet develops a fault, it can spread to every outlet downstream of the original.

Yes, you should shut off the power before wiring your doorbell. Even though a doorbell has low voltage, you are still at risk of harm if you choose to rewire a doorbell with the electricity on. There may be other wires present near your doorbell wiring that could have a higher voltage. If you accidentally come in contact with live wires, you could be seriously harmed or even electrocuted.
