"Loveland was coming over to replace the bathtub fixtures. When my husband saw on their can that they also do electrical work, he asked them to Look at the fan in our daughter's room. He wanted to put her light and fan on separate switches. They agreed it could be done and stay to do it the same day after replacing the tub fixtures! Thank you so much Loveland!!!"

"Tom from Synergy did the bid for under cabinet lighting install, however sent someone else to do the job. Originally discussed with Tom that he would use a regular converter box inside the cabinet and place a dimmer switch on the wall, but the other guy he sent wasn't aware of this and placed the dimmer converter in the cabinet. This has resulted in us having to use the dimmer switch inside the cabinet instead of on a wall switch -- not what I requested. Also, I discussed with Tom installing an additional outlet in our kitchen during the bid process. After he left I noticed he did not include that on the written bid. The guy he sent didn't know about it either. The outlet was installed however. Overall, I was charged $95 additional over the bid and didn't get exactly what I wanted in regard to the dimmer switch for under cabinet lighting. Both electricians were very nice and professional, but there was definitely a communication problem in regard to the installation of the under cabinet lighting. Perhaps I should have clarified the issue more strongly, or perhaps I didn't understand. Either way, I'm happy with the lighting overall, but not 100%."

"Tim gave us an honest evaluation of our existing water heater and options for repair or replacement. We decided to replace the water heater and Tri-State scheduled the next day. Installation was professional and l think Tim is the kind of craftsman you want representing your organization. The fact that you install the Rheem brand helped close the deal."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Troy, electrical projects can impact systems like HVAC, well pumps, or security alarms if circuits are shared or wiring is outdated. Before starting, check your electrical panel labels and note any interconnected systems. Consulting with a licensed electrical contractor ensures upgrades won’t disrupt essential services, and scheduling a home inspection can help identify hidden connections that might be affected by your planned work.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Troy can significantly boost your home’s value and attract buyers, especially in neighborhoods with older properties. Projects like updating electrical panels, installing GFCI outlets, and adding surge protection improve both safety and functionality. These electrical upgrades often appeal to home inspectors and insurance providers, making your property stand out in the Troy market and potentially speeding up the resale process.

Helpful?

To make electrical projects in Troy safer for families, install tamper-resistant outlets, GFCI protection in kitchens and bathrooms, and AFCI breakers for added fire prevention. Consider adding USB outlets for convenience and using cord covers to keep wires out of reach of pets. Ensure outdoor outlets are weatherproof and grounded, and use night lights in hallways to improve nighttime safety for children.

Helpful?

Schedule electrical projects in Troy if you notice burning odors, outlets that spark, or breakers that trip often. Homes over 40 years old should have regular electrical inspections. Plan upgrades in spring or fall to avoid weather-related delays. If you’re remodeling, adding major appliances, or preparing for a home sale, timely electrical work ensures your system is safe and meets Troy’s current codes.

Helpful?

In Troy, flickering lights, buzzing outlets, frequent breaker trips, or persistent use of extension cords can signal bigger electrical problems. Watch for outlets that feel hot, two-prong receptacles in older homes, or lights dimming when appliances run. After severe Missouri weather, check for power surges or scorch marks. Addressing these early helps prevent costly repairs and ensures your home meets local safety standards.
