I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years. I have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical and I take pride in my work. I also rehab and refinish antique wood furniture and build custom furniture out of old wood and recycled materials. No job is too small and I enjoy meeting all the people that this kind of work leads me too.

Additionally, decomposing trunks are at risk for diseases that spread out to the remaining plants and trees in the yard, thus ruining your whole outdoor aesthetic. It's usually best to remove the stump at the same time you remove the tree.

Firstly, stumps can become a breeding ground for pests like termites or ants, which might spread to nearby healthy trees or structures. They can also attract fungi or diseases that could affect other plants nearby. Stumps left unattended could hinder future landscaping plans, obstructing new growth or making it challenging to mow. Additionally, as the stump decays, it might sprout new shoots, leading to unwanted tree growth. Removing stumps prevents these problems, enhancing the aesthetic and safety of the landscape.
