"Leonardo gave me a fair estimate on a Tuesday and came out on that Thursday to do the job. I had a whole lot of leaves to be removed and when they were finished I could not find a leaf on my property. They did an excellent job. I had 5 bids on this project and they had the lowest bid. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for whatever project you need done."

"The pro really acts like a pro. I get notified when he is on the way and when he starts mowing. He provides a good mowing job that is neat when done. He is easy to talk to and communicates well. He is the only pro that provided a written signed estimate of what he would do and how often."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.
