"Very neat and professional job.  This was a large job estimated at 2 weeks - essentially the whole 2nd floor of the residence.
Started by taping and covering floor with resin paper, then cloths on top of that.  Everywhere - including closets.
- We went with smooth walls vs. orange peel and Dave's team did a great job of preparing and finishing the plaster & lath walls prior to prime/paint.  They took the time to do it correctly rather than "patch" it.  Large open stairwell had wallpaper that was removed before prep and painting.  They corrected imperfections in closets as well - even cuttting and installing a piece of drywall to the ceiling of one where some of the plaster was too loose to safely repair.
- Ceilings were patched before paint, but having older sand texture paint, were not able to be smoothed as well as walls.
- All baseboard, door & window trim was sanded and primed with all old caulk and built up paint removed at joints.  Most imperfections from older paint was removed before priming over the old latex and covering with oil based.  Same level of detail with the original 5 panel doors.
Again, this was a large job on an old home.  Compliments to Dave, Lynn and their team.  They were organized, hard working and very polite.  They have the equipment needed to do the job and cleaned up every night before leaving.  The work is professional and will last.

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Coating enhancements often greatly benefit garages, patios, driveways, and commercial floors, elevating functional durability and curb appeal.

Yes, polished concrete floors are worth it for homeowners who want durability, style, and low maintenance in one sleek flooring surface. You get the modern visual appeal of stone or tile with far less upkeep and far less cost. Polished concrete flooring is tough enough for high-traffic areas, it’s a great choice for people with allergies, and it’s easy to clean. If your existing concrete is in good shape, polishing it can give you solid value that shines on for years.

Polished concrete gets its glass-like finish from several rounds of polishing, using increasingly finer grit diamond grinding pads. The concrete’s hardness will determine which grits you need to get your desired finish. The densifier and sealer also contribute to the look of the final floor, so either talk to a concrete pro (or hire one) to achieve the right concrete floor finish.

Yes, it is possible to apply a concrete coating yourself, especially for smaller applications if you have the proper equipment. However, for larger projects, a professional application is recommended to ensure durability, slip resistance, and proper adhesion.

Polished concrete floors also have downsides. Some homeowners, for example, might dislike the coldness of the material (though area rugs can help warm up the space). Concrete floors are also hard, which isn’t always ideal for children and pets. What’s more, these floors are susceptible to cracking, and repairs can be costly. Some homeowners might not like that installation isn’t DIY-friendly.
