Saddlebrooke, Missouri is an upscale residential development off Highway 65 between Springfield and Branson, where my wife and I were going to build a house on a beautiful idyllic lot overlooking pristine Bull Creek. Concrete footing with rebar for stem walls was poured and set years ago for a large house in Seven Pines gated subdivision. Then, our plans changed, we decided not to build ... During this time, I spoke with dozens of SW MO area excavators, and finally narrowed down the list to about a half dozen vetted contractors with their cost estimates.
