"The job went very well considering I was skeptical that the red would be covered with the light tan color in two coats.
Nick arrived on time and we immediately discussed my concerns with the light color covering the darker red. In addition to the regular paint (Behr with primer in it) I also purchased a gallon of KZLN primer. I was prepared to pay extra for the additional coats of paint. Nick assured me that since the Behr had a primer in it already it should do the job in two coats. He was exactly correct. The paint job came out beautiful in two coats. I returned the extra primer to Home Depot and they refunded my money.
Nick was efficient. He worked with no breaks and no loud radio. He did a nice clean job.

"Our porch light, which was on a Lutron dimmer switch, was all of a sudden blinking. Anytime Electric came out to examine and fix the issue, which turned out to be the wrong kind of bulb (non-dimming). When we changed the bulb, the blinking stopped. This was surprising to me because the bulb had not been blinking until this time. However, the problem was fixed. What was wonderful is that Anytime Electric did not charge for their visit, asking me to call them again if we have other electric needs. I certainly will!"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

To maintain your outdoor lighting and prevent major issues, you should regularly clean the fixtures, inspect the wiring and connections, and replace worn or burnt-out bulbs promptly. These simple steps ensure consistent operation and extend the life of your lighting system.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.

Inspect for burnt-out bulbs, secure connections, and protect from water exposure to maintain functionality.

One possibility is that they aren’t getting enough sunlight during the day, which could be due to a lack of sunshine in your area or trees blocking the solar panel. Alternatively, if the solar panel is dirty or the batteries are dying, your solar lights might not operate at full brightness.
