Hello, My Name is Johnathan Steele, Owner Operator of Show-Me Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning. I started my company with the intent to help and show transparency to my customers and to educate them to the best of my abilities on the system that keeps their Home Comfortable. Most Companies will come in to a house fix the issue then leave… That’s where we try and separate ourselves by finding the culprit, educating our customers on why it happened and how to prevent future problems. \n\nWe at Show-Me Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning take pride in our work, and if we wouldn’t do it in our house we wouldn’t do it to yours.
"Everything was perfect. I left a voicemail and he called me back within minutes. We discussed my problems and he understood my computer gibberish. He came to my house to pick up the laptop. He notified me that night about the cost of the replacement parts and length of shipping. He then contacted me when my computer was fixed. He delivered it to my house. "
"I called Tap Heating and Cooling early Sunday afternoon. John was at the house within an hour. He explained to me what the problem was and how it could be fixed. He left to go get parts and was back within the hour like he said. He assured me he wasn't leaving until I had heat. When he left I had heat. Thank you John. In the future Tap has won my business. Nothing but professionalism, honesty, and courteousness was shown. Great customer service. You will be hearing from me in the near future. "
"After the thorough review described above, he and his colleague completed cleaning out all of the ducts with their special machinery. This process took about 90-120 minutes and seemed to be very thorough. Unfortunately the cost of the work was much higher than the $89 angle's list promotion. I was expecting it to go up a bit since we have 3 return vents, but I didn't realize that we also had 3 main vents. The service provider did show me the mold beginning to grow on either side of the filter compartment (ours had not been changed in over 18 months (should be changed every 6 months) and we had run the humidifier over the summer, these were contributing factors to the mess inside the system. I appreciated how he took the time to explain how to keep it from happening in the future and why he suggested a few additions. The recommended anti-fungal/anti-bacterial treatments seemed like a useful addition at this point even at $150. He also very kindly wrote down all of the filter numbers for the humidifier, furnace, water filtration system etc. so I could order them online myself. I would recommend this company to others - having dealt with many HVAC service people, this was the most up-front and honest experience that I have had. "

During your HVAC preseason maintenance call, your contractor will inspect the system for any problems and make small adjustments for better efficiency. Tasks include, though are not limited to:
Changing filters
Checking the thermostat
Clearing away dust and debris
Checking for mold
Inspecting electrical elements
Inspecting condensate lines and drain
Cleaning evaporator coils
Ensuring ignition function
While you can do some of these services yourself, hiring a professional to keep HVAC equipment running can be helpful. These experts know what to look for and may be able to spot potential issues before they become problems. Many HVAC companies offer annual maintenance plans.
A whole-house humidifier can positively impact energy consumption by improving heating efficiency. During colder months, humidified air feels warmer, which allows you to lower your thermostat without sacrificing comfort. This adjustment can lead to significant energy savings as your heating system works more efficiently. However, it's important to use the humidifier judiciously, as excessive humidity could potentially strain your cooling system in warmer months.
It improves air quality, prevents dry skin, protects wood furniture, and enhances overall comfort.
For certain repairs, a plumber may be able to help fix a humidifier, but HVAC technicians are typically the go-to professionals. The most common humidifier repairs that plumbers handle are humidifier water shutoffs, solenoid valve maintenance, and evaporator pad replacement.
Regularly clean or replace filters, check humidity levels, and descale water reservoirs.
