"I got a Big Deal $149 for whole house cleaning, it took a couple days for Bob to schedule with me. He told me what the price will be with stairs and adding additional chemicals for cleaning. I got a call on the scheduled day that they finished previous job earlier and if it's Ok to come earlier. Young men Bobby and his teammate came and explained what and how they will do to clean the carpet, and what will come off and what possibly not. Bobby said that he will try his best to 110% to ensure the work. The carpet did come out good. He also sprayed enzyme on a yellow spot which was hard to clean. other hard to clean spots were lightened as well. I am happy with the results although there were still some spots couldn't get off. They are professional and nice people to work with. I have already referred Kwik Dry to my agent and other friends."

"DJ did a great job of explaining what needed to be done and how the work would proceed. We've lived in our home for 50 years and NEVER had the ducts cleaned! Got a coupon in a mailing and set up the appointment. The team arrived on time. k Rob & Andre were very professional and we're happy with the work they performed. Will definitely call them back in a couple years for the dryer vent (didn't know it was such a hazard). Have already noticed how much more efficiently our HVAC system works now that the gunk is gone."

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Absolutely! Cleaning the interior of your dryer is crucial to maintain its efficiency and safety. As time goes by, lint, debris, and residues from dryer sheets tend to build up inside the drum, on the lint trap, and around the heating elements. Regular cleaning of the inside of the dryer prevents these particles from blocking the system, ensuring smooth airflow, and reducing the risk of fire hazards.

Yes, most services include ductwork and venting to ensure adequate airflow. Confirm with your contractor.

Dryer vent cleaning costs around $150 on average, and most homeowners pay between $75 and $350 for the service. There are a few factors that affect your pricing, including the following:

  • Length of the dryer vent

  • Whether the vent is rigid or flexible

  • Accessibility of your dryer vent

  • Amount of lint needed to remove from the vent

According to the Department of Energy, around 15,000 house fires are started every year from clogged dryer vents. It might seem expensive, but dryer vent cleaning can help you avoid severe house fires, injury, and even death.

As a general rule, you should have your dryer vent professionally cleaned at least once a year to remove lint and debris buildup, which can cause fires and increase energy costs. However, the frequency may need to be adjusted based on usage. If you have a large household, use the dryer frequently, have pets, or have an older vent system, it is better to clean the vent more often, such as every six months or even quarterly. You should also schedule a cleaning immediately if you notice signs of a blockage, such as clothes taking longer to dry, the dryer feeling hot to the touch, or an odd odor. Routine vacuuming is not a substitute for a thorough, professional cleaning.

You should not put boric acid into your home’s air vents. While sprinkling boric acid in roach-prone areas is an effective way to get rid of them, it’s not safe to introduce those chemicals into your home’s air system. Instead, put boric acid or diatomaceous earth in a spot that roaches may walk through, infesting them and the rest of the infestation.
