"I've known Tom for years and when we needed to do some construction, and our previous guy vanished after coming for estimates, we called Tom. The shed went great. It is as solid and any I've ever seen. Concrete floor, stick frame, matches the house perfectly. Built on time and on budget.
Finishing the basement started out and finished fantastic. The bar is a true work of art full of character. Everything we have in there is awesome. If we came up with an idea, Tom worked hard to make it work. IF he saw it wasn't going to turn out like we wanted, then he would immediately let us know what he thought. Like getting the stone for the fireplace. He found some great man-made stuff that looks authentic. When the lift station for the wet bar malfunctioned due to a defect in the machine, he was on the spot to fix it.
The only drawback was when Tom got a little busy with too many jobs. We didn't have him on a contract so he didn't finish the library as quick as he did the rest of the basement. However, he was still able to make the shelving into a hidden door that blends in very well.
Tom is a master of cabinetry and does amazing finish work. He hand built my bar, and was able to make a lot of materials that looked like they came out of a catalog. My man cave looks like something you'd find down town at a micro brew pub.
When some rough weather hit Waynesville, he was out helping fix damaged roofs. He was at my place within a hour of me calling, and had patched the shingles before that evening. To this day I can still give him a call and ask him advice able little things and he can provide the insight. I also, know that if I need, he'd be here ASAP to fix it.

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.
