Hello, My Name is Johnathan Steele, Owner Operator of Show-Me Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning. I started my company with the intent to help and show transparency to my customers and to educate them to the best of my abilities on the system that keeps their Home Comfortable. Most Companies will come in to a house fix the issue then leave… That’s where we try and separate ourselves by finding the culprit, educating our customers on why it happened and how to prevent future problems. \n\nWe at Show-Me Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning take pride in our work, and if we wouldn’t do it in our house we wouldn’t do it to yours.

Im very respectful and responsible. I love cleaning and I've been doing it since I could remember. I have OCD so that helps but over all I'm good at what I do. I come in and clean and get it done and go. I'm fast at what I do. I love helping others. your home will be spot less and smelling like a new home.

"Elijah and Isaiah did an excellent job cleaning our air ducts. I would definitely recommend Owens Air Ducts Plus. They arrived on time and completed the job in about two hours which was less time than I expected."

"After reading reviews I gave Joe a call for a new heating and air conditioning install estimate. He was very quick to respond back with a fair quote so I gave him the green light to start work. He was fast and hard working and takes pride in his business. Not only was he a great professional but a nice person to work with. With his amazing eye for detail I couldn't ask for anything better. If you need a job done with no worries then give Joe a call."

"They gave me a quick call back to do a phone estimate. They were able to give me the information so I can have my AC back on without them coming to the home within minutes at no cost. The guy was very courteous and friendly. He even asked me that they can even come out do a quick cheap inspection to make sure it was safe and running right. Thank you for the fast help during the heat to help our disabled kids and us get out of the dangerous heat."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

There are a few ways to determine if a vent is open or closed. You can inspect the vent and examine the position of the fins. If there are spaces between them, the vent is open. If the fins are flat and touching, the vent is closed. You can also stand under the vent when the system is running to see if you feel air flowing through it.

Fixing a leak in an AC unit costs $200 to $1,600, depending on the type of leak and any related damage. But depending on the age and condition of your AC, it might make more sense to replace the AC unit instead of repairing it. If your AC is only a few years old and relatively problem-free, then repairing it is the right call. But if it’s nearing a decade old and has other issues, consider replacing it.

No, you should not run an air conditioner with a Freon leak. If you think your AC unit is leaking refrigerant, shut it off immediately. When you keep using a leaky air conditioner, it could damage the unit and release more refrigerant. After turning off the AC, have an HVAC pro come take a look at the unit.

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.

Yes, HVAC zoning is generally considered worth the investment by both experts and homeowners. Zoned systems offer significant benefits in convenience, efficiency, and comfort by allowing you to set different temperatures for various rooms or 'zones' in your house. This ability to heat and cool only the spaces you're using leads to energy savings and lower utility bills. Zoned systems are especially effective in multi-level homes that experience temperature fluctuations, but even smaller homes can benefit from the ability to adjust temperatures more quickly. While the up-front installation cost can be high, many find it's a worthwhile long-term investment, particularly for those who plan to stay in their home for a while.
