  • Dana King
We are thrilled with our renovation and could not be happier with the look, function and flow of our remodeled home. The team at Dana King made sure to do their homework before the first hammer was lifted. They met with us to listen and learn what was important to us, how our spaces were used and what needed to change. They continued to communicate regularly throughout the process with questions, suggestions and recommendations. Every member of the team from design to contractor to management to client shared in the same communication app keeping us all up-to-date and on the same page from start to finish

  • Handy Jack-The Home Improvement Pros
Perfect. Wayne was so nice and professional. Worked continuously for 7 hours and did everything that I had requested effortlessly. He is very talented. It is hard to find companies that offer quality workmanship combined with quality people. I will always call Handy Jack first.

  • Beaty Home Improvements
Working with Beaty Home Improvements was an excellent experience for us. Everyone is so busy these days. I called three possible handyman companies, and Josh from Beaty was the only one that even called me back. Josh was super responsive and kindly found a place to work us into their schedule. A recent storm had knocked one of our 2nd story shutters down and we had a floodlight bulb that was high up that had burned out. I don't have a ladder to reach those areas, so I elected to try and find someone to take care of those items for us. To make the most of their time coming out, I also decided to go ahead and have them remove our old kitchen sink and install a new one for us while they were here. During the project I elected to go ahead and have a new disposal installed as well. Josh scheduled Kris for the work, and Kris arrived a few minutes early for the job. Kris quickly and creatively worked to resolve any little challenges encountered during the job, and he worked diligently to complete the tasks in a timely manner. He was a pleasure to chat with while he was here, and I am very pleased with the quality of his work and the care he put into it. I wouldn't hesitate to call Josh/Beaty Home Improvements if I need additional handyman work completed in the future

  • Dana King
I would highly recommend Dana King Design Build Remodeling for a remodeling project. We used them for both a master bathroom and a master bedroom remodel. Both rooms turned out absolutely gorgeous. I actually heard about Dana King Design Build Remodeling through a direct mail ad and decided to see what they could do for us and our master bathroom, which was in desperate need of a remodel. We had done remodeling projects in the past, some major, such as extending our previous house to add larger bedrooms and add a jack-and-jill bathroom. We’ve also done two kitchen remodels, a theater addition, lower levels, and a couple of bathrooms. Some of the projects we general-managed, and for others we hired companies, but either way we always seemed to have to manage and “sweat each detail.” Frankly we were so done with that scenario and wanted a complete turn-key operation. That is absolutely what we got with Dana King Design Build Remodeling! When we initially reached out to Dana King Design Build Remodeling, Dana came to our home with Meg, her design architect, and they talked to us. We decided to invest in the design fee to see their ideas and what they could do for us. We are glad we did! Dana King Design Build Remodeling had wonderful ideas and are the perfect mix between personable and professional. With any remodel project there are always issues and delays, and Dana King Design Build Remodeling addressed these minor problems promptly and professionally. Our master bathroom project did not involve moving walls, but did have a large whirlpool tub that needed replacing. The bathroom was completed in late 2019 and we are thrilled with the results. We loved it so much that we decided to hire Dana King Design Build Remodeling to do our master bedroom. I did not think they could outdo themselves, but they did! The master bedroom is spectacular, even more impressive than the bath. As a designer friend of mine said: “I don’t know if I could sleep there because I would want to stay awake enjoying it!” So true, and we agree. For our master bedroom projects we worked with Meg again, and with their designer Michelle. Their ideas and furnishings were over the top and incredibly stunning. They were both easy to work with and communication for both projects was through an app called Basecamp, where everything is documented and all parties involved are notified. Don’t worry if you’re not tech savvy, I’m not, and I figured it out. We could also contact them directly by phone or text, which I also did. The carpentry in the master bedroom, which involved beautiful moldings and “paneling look,” was done by Kent, who did a phenomenal job. Kent also supervised all the trades coming through the house: electricians, blinds, painters, etc. Kent was a pleasure to work with, very conscientious and an all-around nice guy. Dana King Design Build Remodeling followed all safety protocols for Covid-19, including masks, a washing station at the entrance, and sanitizing upon exiting. They were patient with us regarding delaying the project start date, as it was in March of 2020. Even though furnishings were ordered and delivered, they stored all items until we felt comfortable with starting the project. In conclusion, we are extremely pleased with the job Dana King Design Build Remodeling did for our master bathroom and master bedroom. They were not the least expensive, but we held them to high standards for the price paid and they followed through. No regrets

  • CJ Knapp Interiors
CJ was there every step of the way. I had my ideas and she brought new fresh ideas that worked well with what I had in mind. She was totally respectful of my taste and helped us achieve our goals. We love our remodel. CJ is knowledgeable about lighting, home products, design and color, furniture, paint, and fabric. She is the total package. Prices were up front and fair always. CJ is such a hard worker and knows the ins and outs of a remodel. She worked well with the builder. She is always cheerful and has a very kind heart. You will not be disappointed

  • CJ Knapp Interiors
I've worked with many decorators through the years and CJ Knapp is hands down the very best of them. She listens carefully to what you prefer and to your budget, then she delivers something beyond your wildest hopes. She really captured our style, not some "cookie-cutter" look that so many decorators seem to develop, and she did so with more elan and pizzazz than I could have ever done. Any time I need a room done, I call her

  • Two Blind Guys
My call was answered and wasn't routed to an answering machine. I received a callback from Wilson, the installer the same day with great information and advice. Ended up taking the shade to the storefront for repair and was on my way back home when I received a call that my shade was ready. The problem was a corroded battery in the shade's powerpack. 2 Blind Guys replaced all of the batteries, didn't charge me, and gave me additional battery packs - all at no charge. Who does this? I was told they strive for providing the greatest customer experience. Well they did! And they earned a new lifetime customer. 2 Blind Guys rocks

  • Victor Shade Company
we had ancient roman shades in the sun room; Mr Segal came and helped us pick the new shades. Delivered and installed in less than three weeks. Looks beautiful!

  • Victor Shade Company
Victor Shade did a beautiful job on our solar shade project! They are experienced professionals with a warm, personal touch that gave us exactly what we wanted. And on top of it all—they are dependable, communicative, and easy to get along with. We desired a simple, modern shade solution for a sliding door window on the third floor of our condo—for a room that is drenched in afternoon sun. We wanted to kill the heat, but still let some light in. I met with Scott Segall, the owner/designer/manager, at their shop and we went over options and samples. We decided on a commercial screen roller shade with 3% openness. Scott recommended commercial over residential because of our taste for simplicity, disinterest in the options supplied by residential, and the fact we could save significantly without sacrificing any quality. A win-win! Scott explained that we could do the install ourselves, but for Victor to do the install (which included measuring) would only cost 10% more. It seemed more than worth it to us. Scott set up a measuring appointment and clearly explained the schedule from manufacture to install. The shades were made to order and currently, because of Covid, Scott explained, it could take from 4 to 6 weeks from the time the shades were ordered for them to appear at their shop. Then, an install appointment would be scheduled which would finish up the job roughly a week later. Although we were disappointed at how much time things might take, we so much appreciated Scott’s transparency and his refusal to promise something he could not guarantee. The shade ending up arriving on the early side of Scott’s estimate and, as promised, it was installed around a week later. Not over yet. . . here’s the best part. . . There was a hiccup with the install that Victor Shade went the extra mile to solve for us. We were missing endcaps for the brackets we had been promised—that would cover them and give them a more finished look. This is the kind of thing, that depending on the company, can never get solved. Nope! Scott responded immediately to our concerns and remembered we had discussed this issue. He investigated with the manufacturer and found out that the only solution was to use another kind of roller cover that would allow the proper endcap covers. With no fuss, the manufacturer (and Scott) created these at no extra cost to ourselves—and reinstalled. Wow!! A textbook example of top-drawer customer service. We are so grateful and love our shade
  • Two Blind Guys
2 Blind Guys have now installed blinds in 3 of our homes. The whole team is great to work with. They are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They do what they say they are going to do. One of the best service providers I've encountered for many years. And, the Hunter Douglas product line sold through them is a great value on a quality product
